Weird they choose Haruna since the interface is quite ugly. I use it as a MPV frontend but I really wish it was better.
>>
>>106459600
Haruna seemed okay but there was one annoying part about it that you can't disable video autoplay, so it will go to the next video in the directory and there seems to be no option to turn it off. I saw a 2 year outstanding bug report about the issue.

It's nice. Way too many updates though

How is everyone okay with this btw? That's like half your panel spammed with stuff on smaller screens.
On my laptop I moved all that shit to a sperate panel that opens on hover

What's the point of using an mpv frontend when mpv already has a gui? You're just wasting space on your screen.

Fedora KDE and Kubuntu are both pretty good.
I still give the edge to Kubuntu because Fedora excludes some packages unless you install RPM fusion (and remove the Fedora flatpack repos)

Should be interesting to see what the KDE distro looks like when it finally drops (and no Neon isn't that distro, or a distro at all)

Fedora ships with literally 0 Flatpaks installed. It's also questionable that this is your line in the sand, but forced Snaps on Kubuntu isn't?
>>
>>106462353
Aurora/Bazzite > Fedora Kinoite > Kubuntu non-LTS > Fedora KDE > Kubuntu LTS

>>106462390
It doesn't matter if it ships with them or not. Fedora uses their own flatpak repo with their own software builds instead of doing what everyone else is doing and using flathub. They've had multiple broken packages in their own repo and what's worse is they defaulted to installing those over flathub versions. This again proves that distro maintainers shouldn't be the ones maintaining/publishing non-system packages.
>>
>>106462490
Nigga I don't use Flatpaks. Snaps are also locked down anyway whereas you can click one fucking button on Discover to get access to Flathub in Fedora. Are you being paid by Canonical?

manjaro with KDE is extremely nice. I miss the openRC variant though, but not enough to go to artix. I don't exactly care for the weird "hold packages back" mindset since I don't check forums enough to avoid any package crashes. (I prefer just to let my system crash and fix it later, kek) but we've come a long way from KDE 4 and the likes.

I just prefer a rolling release model. When I used to use ubuntu bases, I swear I always had problems when I did a dist upgrade that I haven't had since I switched to an arch platform
