Why is it considered bad practice to use the entire thing as swap memory? Would it nooo improve performance?
>>
>swap memory in 2025
That tech has been obsolete for decades now...

windows has only begun to support compressed ram with windows 10 and android is still heavily reliant on swap and optimized for it, even as memory constraints evaporated

A little cache for your Qlc++++pajeet+, as a treat

Yea bro

Access times are slow. It'd suck pretty bad.

if you're swapping so much that you need an SSD for swapping, you probably have other problems.
swap generally just becomes a dead area for code that basically isn't doing shit for minutes or hours on end.
>>
>>106463737
also this. fagOS does compressed memory, Linux has zram, etc.
>>
>>106463830
Nah it wouldn't. If you're so deep into swap your performance is going to be garbage anyway. You need enough actual RAM for your use case.

i disabled that fucking garbage, if you only hibernate and leave your pc up for few days the compression process will start eating 100% CPU and will be permanently fucked until you do a proper restart
