These are moments where I distinctly remember thinking that this will truly change the way I live:>1999: Dad bought a PlayStation 1 with some games, 6 year old me - realized I could play games endlessly without having to pay (only knew arcades)>2006: discovered Google Images - I was a hardcore weeb and enjoyed drawing at the time and recorded Dragon Ball Z episodes on VHS, so that I could trace them on paper - realized I could now look at any picture I wanted whenever I wanted.>2007: discovered Skype - realized I could talk endlessly with my group of friends without having to pay a phone bill >2007: discovered YouTube - realized that I could now watch whatever I wanted whenever (entire movies, shows etc. back then noone gave a fuck about copyright)>2010: bought iPod Touch 4th generation - first time with a camera - realized I would never have to carry a camera with me ever again, only had a some crappy Sony Ericsson before. Also realizing I could use a practically infinite amount of Apps anywhere at anytime without carrying a handheld or Laptop.>2023: discovered ChatGPT 3.5 - coworker introduced me to - realized I could now do a bulkload of work in an instant>2024: discovered Dall-E 3 - as a hobby artist, I realized I could now conceptualize ideas in an instant or generate inspiration for my projects (color palettes, composition...)>2025: discovered Gemini 2.5 / Whisk feature: again as a hobby artist, I realized I could composit pictures with my own assets and an insane accuracyI distinctly remember all these moments thinking "WOAH, holy shit!".

When I was like 12 or something I got one of those fake virus alert popups that give you a phone number to a scam call center. I called it but because I was 12 and didn't have any money they didn't want anything to do with me and just kept telling me to get my parents. I very quickly realized that they were complete fucking morons so I gave up and taught myself how to use Linux instead.
