So, it happened AGAIN. We can blame paper launches, we can blame scalpers, we can praise AMD's efforts but the truth is it's simply not enough. MSRP, steam survey figures, you name it, it all stinks.Don't get me wrong, I still have full faith in Lisa Su and the lads, but MASSIVE restockings are desperately needed in September. Otherwise I'm not very optimistic about the RX 9070 GRE, or it outselling the RTX 50 Supers for that matter. Not shipping like this. What do you think, /pcbg/? #RadeIN or #RadeOUT?Some helpful links to numb the pain:https://www.amd.com/en/products/graphics/desktops/radeon/9000-series/amd-radeon-rx-9070xt.htmlhttps://www.amd.com/en/products/graphics/desktops/radeon/9000-series/amd-radeon-rx-9060xt.htmlhttps://www.instagram.com/amdhttps://jlingz.comhttps://www.youtube.com/@Hardwareunboxedhttps://reddit.com/r/Amd/
>>106467720>Hassan MujtabaOP is indian. It's confirmed.
The 5060 Ti is the 16GB is the first GPU worth buying in over 8 years. That probably has something to do with it.
> NVIDIA’s Discrete GPU Market Share Swells To 94%, AMD Drops To 6%PC gamers are mongols that want only one vendor and fucking it up for everyone else.
>>106467720I don't care my 9070 xt did rape me on price but it was worth it. couldn't waitfag long enough for the 9060.
>>106467720It doesn't help that AMD is willingly rigging the market in NVIDIA's favor by constantly dropping the ball and being a generation behind. Reminder that Lisa and Jenson are cousins also.
>>106467747>mongolsyou mean mongrels
>>106467746Sorry for this typo I was masturbating.
This is good, the more marketshare Nvidia has the less non-compliant and proprietary, anti-innovation bullshit AMD can throw at the market.Hopefully they lose consoles too.
>>106467752>dropping the ball and being a generation behind.no they are a generation ahead or just above par. they also dominate CPUs now. the GPUs could just use a 50 dollar price shave and more stock.
>>106467759Yes.
>>106467775>This is good, the more marketshare Nvidia has the less non-compliant and proprietary, anti-innovation bullshit AMD can throw at the market.I have to give nigvidia kernel access to use their cards. what?
>>106467778> they are a generation ahead or just above par.Ah yes, which is exactly why they keep dropping in market share and failing to meet even AI demands. lmao Of course you pivot to CPUs to deflect lmao
>>106467790>AI demands. lmao Of course you pivot to CPUs to deflect lmaohow are u gonna run your nigvidia server farm without threadrippers
>>106467720At this point why don't AMD and Intel just bow out of the GPU market long enough to force Nvidia into a monopoly, break them up, then start back up again making more GPUs? Sounds simple enough...
>>106467720Oh well. Not my problem. AMD had the opportunity to ship GPUs at MSRP but decided against it.
>AMD decides to charge basically the same price for their inferior cards>Even poors stop buying AMDWow what a surprise
>>106467898I wanted a sapphire nitro 9060 xt but had to get a 9070 xt because it just didn't stock when the 9060 xt came out. I also had a 9070 regular in my cart when that came out for the first 10 minutes but didn't pull the trigger. I really wanted that orange box art but settled for the blue. I guess I at least have a few more raytracing cores.
>>106467870It's hard to believe but AMD is still making money on graphics
>>106467828>continues to pivot to CPU because he knows their GPUs are trashIt's Epyc also retard. No datacenter is running threadrippers lmao.
>>106467720/rug/ bros...
>>106467720this shit isn't real. ask any game developer who tracks the telemetry it's closer to 25%. this is just speculation based on units sold, which most are going into AI datacenters.
It seems a bit crazy to me that AMD and nVidia both use TSMC for their products, since it means they're basically fighting over a finite resource to produce cards while in direct competition for market sales. It seems like the bottleneck - and thus the lack of stock, above-MSRP price gouging, etc - is down to the lack of competing fabrication facilities.
>>106467720KWABOTY
>>106467720Imagine willing participating in creating a monopoly in something you care about. I'll happily run my 9070 XT for years.
>>106467720DLSS was the final nail in the coffin. AMD realized that it needed an equivalent too late.
AMD just straight up lied about MSRP so they need a continued kick in the nuts to stop playing the fucking -$50 on Nvidia. I bought two 5070 Tis and a 5090 at MSRP and I still haven't had a MSRP 9070 XT show up on my alert apps since launch.
>>106467778Is that why their cards have worse performance than Nvidia equivalents while drawing more power?
>>106468693nvidia hides power draw in the cpu. this is why nvidia has a cpu overhead.they also perform the same.
>>106467870i have to assume that the people involved are privy to more information than me and are making decisions that make sense with said information.
>>106467870They get plenty of graphics money from their APUs in handhelds and consoles. The discrete GPUs are secondary to that, but helpful.
>>106468689AMD has such a habit of snatching defeat from the jars of victory that it has to be collusion again
>>106467746How do you justify spending 500€ on a low-mid range card?
radv is like 30-50% faster than windows nvidia driver
>>106467746It isn't. It's a massive waste of money.
>>106469345yet it has never been quantified in a benchmark
>>106467720In other words, Nvidia is a monopoly and it's time to break them up or we'll get another Intel on our hands in a few years once the Chinese step their game up.
>>106469505amd windows driver is already faster than nvidias windows driver and the amd linux driver is even faster than the amd windows driver.
>>106469546notice how you didn't post a benchmark of radv 9070XT competing with a 5090 on average at 4k
>>106467720ITT SEETHEING AMDRONES
>>106467720Its will be close to 0% once super series drop. Its over...
>>106469502That's because you have not checked out Reflex 2 and multi frame generation, raster is close to being obsolete and that card will play anything for the next 8 years easily because of neural rendering
>>106467733I don't see how, indians love AMD just like they love Android, what's the saying?>sars AMD and Android are very good value sars! They're cheap so it fits
>>106467759Nyo he's correct. Nvidia has its mongol army.>NOOOO there's so much land around us, can't you share it peacefully with the rest of us!?>Mongol say "haha conquest!">don't you know that Genghis Khan will get all of the women and not you? It's not in your personal interest NOOOOOO
>>106467720How many Nvidia GPUs are actually in gamers PCs though? I know the company I work for has 25 5080s...
>>106467828Most companies still seem to be deeply I to Xeon servers though
>>106467720>not #RadeON or #RadeOFFOne job retard
>>106467870Monopolies in and of themselves are not illegalIf you're otherwise not doing anything (provable) anti-competitive to your competitors, then your competitors being incompetent and not being able to catch up does not make your monopoly illegal
>>106470217Are any of those computers partaking in the Steam hardware survey? It's the best we've got as a representative gaming PC sample
>>106467720diy market is just 1% or less of the total pc marketthe vast majority of pc enjoyers buy prebuilts where amd is absent
>>106468587tsmc has vacancy. big boy chips like nvidia's ai accelerators are bottlenecked by substrate and hbm supply
