Theoretically, can you completely de-India your computer by only using software without any Indian commits? Linus removed all Russian code from the Linux kernel, so something like this is certainly doable.What's a good base to start with for building a non-Indian OS under a free licence? Arch?

>>106468491It's not enough to simply track down Indian contributors and rewrite their commits, though that should still be done. For long-term results, the actual project culture has to be inhospitable to Indian programming tendencies:>No Python or ReactAbsolutely no Python or React Native "code" will be allowed in the project. Python should not even come preinstalled on the OS.>Force CC++ shall be permitted for GUIs but nothing else; the underlying code must be in C (or, when superior for memory management, Rust).>Use assembly language more oftenAssembly is no less abstract for designing a calculator app than C or even Python; the engine of the calculator app should be written purely in assembly language, while the GUI may be written in other languages. Other opportunities to leverage assembly should be explored.>All communications must be in American English Indians schools (very badly) teach British English, and I suspect their insular culture makes them less familiar with the spelling differences in American English. Meanwhile, Britons, Australians, and Europeans interact with Americans and absorb America's cultural exports all the time, allowing them to instantly adapt to an American spelling mandate. Users who fail to conform will be flagged as Indian.This is off the top of my head.

>>106469532Trannies will write the most amazing code you've ever seen then kill themselves next week. I say use them while they're still around
>>106469101They’ve been removed from a list because of sanction requirements. As far as I’m aware Russians can still work on Linux, and their code isn’t being expunged, it’s just that having them listed as maintainers is a legal issue
>>106469403>no C++>praises Rustopinion discarded, tranny
>>106469661What is praise about the word "or"?
>>106468491Most FOSS projects involve pretty much only white men, white men (in skirts), and various kinds of Chinese
>>106469101>>106469553It's not "all Russian code" or "all Russian maintainers" removed. It's in fact much more narrow -- just the maintainers with emails that have domains of sanctioned companies. That's it. That's the extent of the "Russia" ban -- and it's mostly because of legal issues due to the Linux Foundation having to abide by US sanctions.
>>106469694It's about elimating what Indianness (not to be confused with endianness, though some have strong opinions about that as well) remains, and structurally preventing future Indianness.
