Hey everyone, thought I'd just share the experience I had with the RED Interview team. I really wanted to get into this tracker to share some of my own vinyl rips and build my collection. I am a university student at BIMM Insitute in Birmingham, UK where I study Music Production, so I figured my knowledge on audio formats, birates, bit depth, sample rates, etc. would come in handy for this. On top of that, I used their interview prep site to study before I had my interview. I then waited in queue for 3 straight days, and when I finally got to my interview this morning, after the first section they told me they thought I was using external resources (interview prep site or otherwise) to assist in my answers. After I told them my reasoning for knowing about the section they told me I was lying, that they declined my interview and will NOT allow me to interview again!! I offered to prove my student status but they basically just told me to leave the channel. This is massively upsetting and I feel I wasn't even given a chance by the interviewer, as they accused me of lying and breaking rules after one section. Just a PSA, this does not seem like the friendliest tracker out there, nor the easiest to get into. By the sounds of it, you have to go into the interview knowing nothing at all otherwise they will think you are lying. It's a shame their collection is the largest and most expansive, but I guess I'll have to look elsewhere! If anyone else has had a similar experience, please post it below as I'd like to hear it.Thanks for reading :)

i have this annoying problem which only affects my private tracker torrents. when a new torrent is added it will be stalled (using qbittorrent), unable to update the tracker or connect to peers. the thing which fixes it disconnecting my vpn and switching to a different server, exiting or reconnecting to the same server doesn't fix it (using airvpn eddie client). i completely uninstalled qbittorent, set it all up again how i like it, added all my hundreds of torrents back, and still the same issue. i deleted the .ini settings file to see if it was some setting i changed, but same issue with clean settings. any new torrents added manually or automatically are just stalled until i change my vpn server, really annoying.

Besides performance, I prefer qBittorrent's API over the XMLRPC shit that rTorrent uses. I also prefer to use a client that's in active development and even though rTorrent seems to be in active development again, I don't know for how long that will be the case. Basically the only alternative to r(u)Torrent that fits all my needs is qBittorrent (unless things have changes in recent years, I don't keep up with news about every torrent client out there) and the only thing I am worried about is moving everything over just to find out that qBittorrent's web-ui is also unusable with my amount of torrents.

I don't see the FAQ mentioned path to AB specifically so i guess it is the same as other trackers (first join RED through interview then go to AB)? Also is it ok to say in the interview the reason i want to join RED is to get into AB?
