The internet has been weaponized. What used to be a fascinating way to connect with people, share ideas and whatever else with good intentions, has become a way to capitalize on your data and track you. I think I'd cry if I created this shit only to see what it has become.

I wonder more how history will look back on the internet.It will never be able to experience the brief moment of ingenuity that was the ability to express your thoughts unfettered to the greater world in an instant. It will look back on the internet as another form of Cable TV where you consume content and are incapable of using it for anything that benefits you as a person. Then again written History may simply not exist given enough time. It will become another curiosity that people used to take down past events instead of consuming things in the moment, like what happened during the Dark Ages where nobody cared about the ruins of the Roman Empire since it was simply the bedrock which they built their subsistence farms atop. The internet will just become the same way. Who cares about history? Just consume product, get excited for next product, listen for social media mogul to tell you what happened so you can feel certain way about future products.
