Gonna ask again here, my mom has restarted her A16 5G multiple times but her screen freezes. Is A36 a good upgrade for her? She only complains about apps being slow (processor power sucks probably on A16). Any tips? I'd like a phone that will work for at least 3+ years for her. Is active updates still essential if you barely use your phone? I don't browse the web and only want this for messaging apps. I also intend to install a custom OS on this. This phone seems pretty much everything I'm looking for including a headphone jack but that's the one thing that's making me hesitant on purchasing.

Samsung A54 was an L purchase for me. Thought it had a great 50MP camera, till I realized the poor tier chipset struggles to encode it and poorfags don't get to shoot RAW HDR (IMX766 is both). Then Samsung pushes all their stupid little updates. No bootloader unlock. No USB 3.0. All I get is a slow phone that closes apps because apparently 6GB of RAM is nothing. Last MicroSD phone worth mentioning from Samsung.I remember when my phone had 100mb of RAM and I played my little Java midlets and played music over bluetooth. Can't even do that these days without audio cuts. It was also a Samsung circa 2010. Before Samdroid. They've never had good software.
