SPG (Shill Phone General)

>stop posting your new phones in SPG
>stop talking about legit phone specs and benchmarks
>stop posting facts about lower end smartphones
>stop posting pictures of your vehicle using different phones to compare the cameras
>stop posting phones over $1,000
>stop calling out lies and correcting misinformation
>only $500 mid tier phones are allowed to be posted

The truth about smartphones will always be posted using reputable sources and not just unsubstantiated claims, deal with it. If you didn't lie we wouldn't be here. Nothing you trolls can ever say matters to me. Uneducated anons itt post misinformation. They don't even confirm the lies that they post.

Gonna ask again here, my mom has restarted her A16 5G multiple times but her screen freezes. Is A36 a good upgrade for her? She only complains about apps being slow (processor power sucks probably on A16). Any tips? I'd like a phone that will work for at least 3+ years for her. She bought a samsung fitbit 3 or something and she likes the ecosystem
>>
>>106473739
Yes, the A36 will be a good upgrade for her.
>>
>>106473743
Just kinda scared it will fail on her like the A16 which she bought in January as a sort of "immediate-need" phone when her Iphone got destroyed

Is active updates still essential if you barely use your phone? I don't browse the web and only want this for messaging apps. I also intend to install a custom OS on this. This phone seems pretty much everything I'm looking for including a headphone jack but that's the one thing that's making me hesitant on purchasing.
>>
>>106473692
So all phones in EU won't be allowed to side load?
>>
>>106473968
ignore that retard, apple app installation thing is way before the eu law, also it's not clear what google is going to actually do, so it's very hard to make assumptions based on the vague info we have.
>>
>>106473968
yes and ignore the misinformed
>>
>>106473968
>>106474021
+ apple installation is very limited and you have to reactivate your apps every 7 days using a server or they will stop working
>>
>>106474021
It's mostly clear what Google is going to do if you know typical practices for DRM, because that is what this resembles. When you try to install something not from their store, the OS will likely phone out to check if the apk is signed as developed by an approved developer and blocks the install if its not. Basically you will need a different, modified version of Android to use apks not from devs approved by Google. Enjoy slavery.

Samsung A54 was an L purchase for me. Thought it had a great 50MP camera, till I realized the poor tier chipset struggles to encode it and poorfags don't get to shoot RAW HDR (IMX766 is both). Then Samsung pushes all their stupid little updates. No bootloader unlock. No USB 3.0. All I get is a slow phone that closes apps because apparently 6GB of RAM is nothing. Last MicroSD phone worth mentioning from Samsung.

I remember when my phone had 100mb of RAM and I played my little Java midlets and played music over bluetooth. Can't even do that these days without audio cuts. It was also a Samsung circa 2010. Before Samdroid. They've never had good software. I'm not even in a bad mood, but I have no good regards left for Samcrap.

Is Xioami the future, for high res cameras (I need it specifically) and MicroSD expansion? That's legit my only two requirements ever. 50MP or more with a pixel size greater than 1ÎĽm. Do I need to mention microsd again btw? microsd is the future, the holy grail, the bee's knees, the goat, jesus and mohammed. I will design my own phone

It's already been trialed and car sites are already being paid to shill subscription models, no matter how much current consumers try to push back like with the BMW heated seats debacle. The "younger generation" will be brainwashed into accepting such things and you will eventually have no choice since subscription models are more profitable. So if you think subs are going to only be for a few areas in the future, you are sadly very mistaken. All industries will look for ways to maximize profit and this is a very good one.
>>
>>106474208
Sure. Is LineageOS possible to install in it? What's the best OS in-terms of accessibility and privacy? As long as the physical keyboard doesn't have intense latency I'll probably get used to it.
>>
>>106474645
Extremely low amounts of vehicles have subscription services like this. If you buy a BMW $50 a month is nothing. Thank Jesus I can afford iCloud+ and I received a year of free Google cloud storage with my pixel 9 pro xl and a year of free Gemini ai too, but after I’ll keep paying for it. $100 a month is light work for subscription services. Functional adults aren’t going bankrupt for this.
>>
>>106475272
Keep being a frog in a pot, anon, keep trying to rationalize that it won't be coming to every vehicle. First they came for the BMWs and I did not speak out because I was not a BMW owner, then they came for the Hyundais and I did not speak out because I was not a Hyundai owner. Then they came for the Chevy owners and there was no one left to speak out for me.
