I think I'm going to drop dGPUs entirely in favor of iGPUs. They're strong enough now and I won't need a massive PSU and deal with sag and all that

If you use something to prop up your GPU it won't sag *or* drop.

Have a nice day anon.
>>
iGPUs are best for mini setups. You still get far more efficient processing from a dedicated.
>>
>>106478835
This, but AMD only.
>>
>>106478835
dGPUs benefit massively from having their own high speed VRAM.
>>
>>106478835
Not on the desktop though.
Ate you moving to laptops OP?
>>
>>106481146
True, even the highest overclocked DDR5 with the tightest timings doesn't come close to a $150 graphics card from 2013
>>
>>106481151
No, i'm on a desktop. I even have a 6800XT system running on a horizontal test bench because i don't want to deal with the GPU sag or riser cables. It's ridiculous.
>>
>>106478835
i'm still running my a10-7850k

i'd upgrade this year if 9000g would be something, but it sounds like it won't be!
you sure don't want me to buy amd graphics related hardware, do you amd
>>
>>106481171
no dGPU? Sounds comfy, please post fetch!
>>

But where are you going to find an APU as powerful as an GPU in the desktop space unless you want to buy the frameworks motherboard as it's ITX an probably fits into your case.
>>
>>106481200
I don't need a GPU that powerful i just bought it because i was consooming. I have a Define R5 and a regular b550 ATX mobo with a 5600g i can use.
>>
>>106481200
Who needs a super powerful GPU?
I'm still running my old 2400G works fine.

No, I don't give a shit about the latest vidya slop.
>>
>>106481209
Even if you cared about latest vidya slop you'd arguably be better off getting a coonsole for that.
>>
>>106481207
>>106481209
I don't know since I see you rock an 6800XT so I assumed you need something similar to it.
>>106481216
>Even if you cared about latest vidya slop you'd arguably be better off getting a coonsole for that.
You make a very good point.
>>
>>106478835
Yeah, with coolers and gpus having tripled (at least) in size and weight since the 90's you think there'd be a resurgence in horizontal cases like picrel
>>
Thank you for your service, hopefully more peaople do it so we can finally kill pcie slop and embrace soldered sff
>>
>>106481252
Yea or the CM HAF XB
>>106481254
This sounds sarcastic

Maybe but i don't agree with soldered, as it restricts the end user in a number of ways
>>
>>106481290
>i don't agree with soldered
Yeah, but does it matter?
If you are going to keep a PC for let's say 4-6 years which is average at that point you might need a full platform upgrade.
