i use the numpad as a controller for all my games to filter zoomers
you can change the keybinds but it requires the numpad to do so

I wish I could learn typing like that, am too much of a pick and hunt typer when it comes to the numpad, I did semi unlearn it on the rest of the keyboard.
But it made me type like shit.

My programmable 60% has the numpad and navigation keys programmed into the alphanumerics so I can access 100% of a full size keyboard without ever having to lift my hands.
Unless you are completely brain damaged, a programmable 60% is objectively the best layout for productivity and functionality.

This is all cope because memecanical keyboard with a numpad are expensive and you are retroactively justifying it.

more like 41% keyboard tranny
>>
>>106482342
Programmable 60%'s are arguably more expensive, cost isn't a factor to me because I'm not poor, and you failed to justify the benefits of having dedicated nav keys / numpad when I can access them from the alphanumerics.
Sorry you got filtered by modifier keys anon.

You can, just not as conveniently and in a logical arrangement. Your keyboard is a compromise, just like the rest of your life.
And surprise surprise, having a full keyboard doesn't make it less programmable. You're a waste of time and energy.

I tried one of these "programmable' 60% keyboards and concluded they are pretty fiddly for non-gaming use, so I switched to a used Corsair K95 Vengeance with a 123-key layout. I like it for regular use though I did not return the 60% keyboard. To be honest, the extra modifier keys where rightalt/win/grammar would be better in standard layouts.

Being able to access navigation and a numpad from the alphanumerics is objectively better than having to raise your hand and place on dedicated keys.
>And surprise surprise, having a full keyboard doesn't make it less programmable
You don't need dedicated navigation keys and a numpad when you can access them from the alphanumerics you retard. Keep up.
>>106482618
Numpad and navigation keys only require one hand and your other hand is doing nothing while you're using them. There is no functional difference except I don't have to raise and reseat my hand.
Please think things through before posting and embarrassing yourself.

>You have no clue what "objective" means, you think it means the opposite.

>You do
You don't. The Numpad and navigation keys only require one hand and your other hand is doing nothing while you're using them. There is no functional difference except I don't have to raise and reseat my hand.
>need to constantly use modifiers for it
The fn modifier I use is bound to caps lock. It's no different to holding ctrl, alt, or shift. It's just another modifier key. Anything I would have to raise my hand away from the alphanumerics to use is bound to fn.

Still, you feel comfortable entering numbers with the number row and feel no need for a keypad, you can remap them to macros or different characters. You're desperately trying to sell the lack of options as an improvement. I don't know why you choose to waste your time like this.
A fully keyboard is simply more keys, and that's about that.

I have a numpad programmed in my alphanumerics and the numerics anon. Keep up, christ.
>You're desperately trying to sell the lack of options as an improvement.
I'm not "desperately" trying to sell anything. I've made a statement how programmable 60%'s are objectively better and you have absolutely no response. Every response has been me correcting you because you don't even know how it works.
>A fully keyboard is simply more keys, and that's about that.
I get to access 100% of a full-keyboard from the alphanumerics meaning I never have to raise and reseat my hands to do navigation or use the numpad.
Programmable 60%'s are objectively better than full-sized keyboards and you have no retort.
>>

And you'd have more options with more keys. Stop foaming at the mouth and trying to sell less as more. It's simply not going to work.

That I would never ever use. dedicated navigation and numpad keys have zero value. I already have access to every single key on a fullsize available to me on the alphanumerics. I have several keys that don't even have a macro associated with them. Even if I managed to max out my function layer, I can stack multiple modifiers on top for even more macros.
>Stop foaming at the mouth and trying to sell less as more.
You're literally having a meltdown because I've proven that programmable 60%'s are objectively better. Less is more, I've optimised the layout so I never have to raise and reseat my hands. You have no retort.

The standard TKL layout is the sign of someone with total brain damage. The numpad contains both navigation and numpad functionality, the nav keys are for navigation only.
I could understand if you had a TKL with a numpad, but a TKL with nav keys is actual retardation.

I wish these were programmable with a display like the Elgatos and Lebedev's keyboards (both were manufactured by the same iDisplay company). But I'll take extra hotkeys that look like a calculator, sure. Some old software and games still rely on it, and it's convenient for some MMOs unless you want to break your fingers with wild key combinations.
