My programmable 60% has the numpad and navigation keys programmed into the alphanumerics so I can access 100% of a full size keyboard without ever having to lift my hands.
Unless you are completely brain damaged, a programmable 60% is objectively the best layout for productivity and functionality.

Programmable 60%'s are arguably more expensive, cost isn't a factor to me because I'm not poor, and you failed to justify the benefits of having dedicated nav keys / numpad when I can access them from the alphanumerics.
Sorry you got filtered by modifier keys anon.

You can, just not as conveniently and in a logical arrangement. Your keyboard is a compromise, just like the rest of your life.

I tried one of these "programmable' 60% keyboards and concluded they are pretty fiddly for non-gaming use, so I switched to a used Corsair K95 Vengeance with a 123-key layout. I like it for regular use though I did not return the 60% keyboard. To be honest, the extra modifier keys where rightalt/win/grammar would be better in standard layouts.

Being able to access navigation and a numpad from the alphanumerics is objectively better than having to raise your hand and place on dedicated keys.
>And surprise surprise, having a full keyboard doesn't make it less programmable
You don't need dedicated navigation keys and a numpad when you can access them from the alphanumerics you retard. Keep up.
>>106482618
Numpad and navigation keys only require one hand and your other hand is doing nothing while you're using them. There is no functional difference except I don't have to raise and reseat my hand.

>need to constantly use modifiers for it
The fn modifier I use is bound to caps lock. It's no different to holding ctrl, alt, or shift. It's just another modifier key. Anything I would have to raise my hand away from the alphanumerics to use is bound to fn.

Still, you feel comfortable entering numbers with the number row and feel no need for a keypad, you can remap them to macros or different characters. You're desperately trying to sell the lack of options as an improvement. I don't know why you choose to waste your time like this.
A fully keyboard is simply more keys, and that's about that.

I'm not "desperately" trying to sell anything. I've made a statement how programmable 60%'s are objectively better and you have absolutely no response. Every response has been me correcting you because you don't even know how it works.
>A fully keyboard is simply more keys, and that's about that.
I get to access 100% of a full-keyboard from the alphanumerics meaning I never have to raise and reseat my hands to do navigation or use the numpad.
Programmable 60%'s are objectively better than full-sized keyboards and you have no retort.

That I would never ever use. dedicated navigation and numpad keys have zero value. I already have access to every single key on a fullsize available to me on the alphanumerics. I have several keys that don't even have a macro associated with them. Even if I managed to max out my function layer, I can stack multiple modifiers on top for even more macros.
>Stop foaming at the mouth and trying to sell less as more.
You're literally having a meltdown because I've proven that programmable 60%'s are objectively better. Less is more, I've optimised the layout so I never have to raise and reseat my hands. You have no retort.

The standard TKL layout is the sign of someone with total brain damage. The numpad contains both navigation and numpad functionality, the nav keys are for navigation only.

Why the fuck would I pay more for a wireless keyboard at all ever for any reason? It's just dumb. The people that buy them have an irrational aversion to wires--the is no benefit to going wireless other than ascetic.

If wireless retards would just admit they like the astetic and it serves no other function that'd be fine but they alawys come up with some other retarded excuses about the wire being in the way which is fucking impossible.

my language's keyboard layout moves 0 to a different location for some goddamn fucking reason.
I write code in US layout and communications in the local layout. When entering any kind of number I just automatically use the number pad because I don't always remember instanly what layout I'm currently, so using the number pad doesn't require me to pause and think for 2-3 seconds.
I switch between keyboard layouts quite often, so those seconds (and moreso the mental effort) adds up over time.

i dont like them simply because as most people are right handed, they merely get in the way by providing extra space between the movement where your right hand on the mouse has to touch the keys to type (on the keyboard not the pad).
removing that space, does improve effectiveness for sure, im not a consumer but i have a 10 keyless i bought from aliexpress and waited 2 months for.
if the number pad was instead on the left side, and was used by the left hand, by golly that would be totally superior. unfortunately its not that way and retards ITT will hamper potential progress because "muh zoomzooms"

You're fucking retarded. Tab is on the left and the only numeric symbols you need to move your keyboard hand for are ()... and if you're writing LISP, which is the only time that would be inconvenient, you can just rebind them.
>>
>>106493592
There is no reason to ever use numeric keys and a mouse at the same time for most data entry tasks. It's almost always tab, which is the rest position for the left hand, or enter, which is on the numeric keypad already.

Ask me how I know you've never actually done data entry or worked extensively with spreadsheets.

>>
>>106493655
the mouse was/is treated as a separate optional peripheral and was never intended to be used simultaneously with the keyboard.
