>ditched chrome after it started fucking with adblockers>installed firefox with high hopes>random crashes out of nowhere>spotify stops playing randomly and needs to be refreshed>tons of other random issuesOk now what do I do?
You put up with it or go back to chrome
>>106483405Works on my machine>spotifylol lmao even.
>>106483430There really isn't a working alternatives to Chrome?
>>106483405lies!
>>106483405>random crashesdon't know about this, never happened to me>spotifyInstall spotify with spotx instead of using it in the browser, uBO doesn't work well with it
>>106483405Try Basilisk, K-Meleon, Dillo... or don't use jeetscript goyslop
>>106483405Are we talking PC or mobile, just to be sure?Random crashes are very rare in my experience, and I use it like 15 hours a day and have done so for decades now.I can't help you with Spotify as I've rarely used it, it seems very annoying to use. But maybe it's an adblocking issue rather than a Firefox one. Or maybe your settings are too strict and it's interfering with something, check under Tools > Settings > Privacy and Security.>>106483466You could try Brave or Vivaldi. They're Chromium forks that are sticking with Manifest V2 extensions as far as I know. Brave even has built-in adblocking so it's worth keeping as a backup. Well, technically Vivaldi does as well I think, but it's not as good at adblocking.
>>106483521Windows PCI'm going to try Vivaldi
>>106483482>Install spotify with spotxAaaand windows defender just found a trojan inside.
>>106483563inside of what? just run the script in powershell...you can read the source code as well and check for le trojan
>>106483563Not that anon, but are you sure it's not a false positive? Did you get it off their official GitHub page? Maybe upload the installer or executable through VirusTotal and see what percentage deem it suspicious. If it's a small number, it's likely a false positive. And the Issues page on their Git does say that it triggers false positives.
>>106483594It detected the installation script as a trojan. Might be a false positive ( >>106483603 ) but I don't care enough to risk it.
>>106483622the github page has 18k stars and the script isn't even long. Do you really think somebody wouldn't have noticed the trojan already?
>>106483482>spotx>>106483563what are the chances spotx will get the same treatment as spotube (pic related)https://github.com/KRTirtho/spotube
>>106483644Maybe spotx being a patcher doesn't trigger the spotify corpas as bad as a standalone client. It could definitely happen though, but I think they know that if they shut down one adblocker another will pop up eventually
>>106483405>>random crashes out of nowhereDoesn't happen on my system.>>spotify stops playing randomly and needs to be refreshedInstall brave and use that for web apps.>>tons of other random issuesYes.
>>106483641don't know, don't caremaybe you should actually put the tiniest bit of effort into your software and make sure it isn't flagged as a virus by windows defender if you want me to run it
>>106483709your loss faggot
>>106483709That's an unreasonable standard, especially when it comes to piracy. And false positives tend to out themselves by never giving you any details about the virus, just flagging it as generic or potentially unwanted tools or whatever.
>random crashesNEVER EVER>spotifyLOL
>>106483709Don't run anything >>>/g/ tells you.
>things that never happened
>>106483405>random crashes out of nowheresaaar do the nudefull and use chroooome, truust me saaaar I am certified firefox user sarrrr!!

>>106483405>what do I do?yay -S icecat-bin
