You can rotate ThinkStation badge so it's always correctly oriented.
>>106489790Mega expensive but if you're not after current/fastest stuff you can often get those used for really cheap then max it out with aliexpress parts, like megacore xeons and gigabytes of ecc ram, those are always very cheap once corporate is done with them.
>>106489897Looks better in vertical position.
>>106489936I'd be just as happy with the newest base model with i3-14100. Want it mainly for the case.
>>106489957I got P510 two years or so ago and use it as main pc. Was ~150€ or so. In the meantime got 20 core cpu for 50€ and 256gb ram for 150€ for it.Only drawback is noise, it's not too noisy but not as quiet as modern built or office pc, you can always hear it also a bit harder to set up with weird bios and being picky about everything. As for using case only, idk, psu is proprietary but you could probably clap something together, front io is a problem since it's not just usb/power header but has it's own logic/firmware.
>>106490017Nice. Thanks for replying :-)Which OS did you run on it, btw?
>>106490249I'm using is as main pc so just win10. Had win11 on ssd when I got it and looking at files it spent its life on university and was running 24/7, had some crazy hours on ssd/hdd.
