>>106488537
5070 too low, it's literally the sweet spot of GPUs in Europe. AMD is too expensive, the 5060Ti 16GB is not even that much cheaper than the 5070 (100 euro less) and significantly worse in raw performance, and the 5070Ti is way more expensive (300 euro more) for disproportionately little raw performance gain. I'm talking spending 50% more (900 euro vs 600 euro) for, what, 25% better performance?
>>
>>106488466
Has anyone with an nvidia gpu had this issue where the upper part of the screen flickers randomly for less than a second while browsing the web? Ever since I upgraded to the 581 drivers this issue still persists even after fully uninstalling and reinstalling them via DDU. What's weird is that it doesn't happen at all while gaming and other demanding workloads.

If you're using the Chrome browser, it's a well-known issue.
I thought Google fixed this.

I do love how perennially useless the GPU buying advice is ITT. The “mid range” and “high end” literally just list the cards available in that segment, though I guess whenever one of you decides to take a stance, it ends up in a flame war.

>>106489381
it all depends on how retarded you're being about the definition of "top of the line"

if you just want general top-tier stuff, $3k or less should be enough
but if you're trying to find the most expensive stuff possible just for the sake of it, then I'm sure that you can find some expensive boutique shit that'll cost way more
>>
>>106489381
nvidia doesnt like having their halo gpus drop below msrp so $2k (or maybe $1.8k from retailer deals) is the bottom. they's already dropped in pricing from a couple months where it was constantly at about $3k

also there many other components you need to budget for like the motherboard, ram, cooler, ssd, psu and case which will raise your total cost more towards $3.5 to 4k if you are considering the rtx5090 and 9800x3d

Ordered almost all parts from a norwegian site called Komplett which ive spent probably 5k+ $ on in the past and i genuinely belived they were awesome, but they couldnt even give me a small discount on any of the other 5070 ti models. The chat assistant recommended that i could swap to Asrock 9070 xt for the same price XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD????????

I have a 5600x, 32GB RAM, and an RTX 2060 I'm looking to upgrade the GPU, the 9060 XT 16GB is 100€ cheaper than the RTX 5060 TI 16GB, is there really that much of a difference between these cards? AMD Radeon invests in tech/features if their largest customers (console manufacturers) can use them.
RDNA3 GPUs got no official FSR4 support because consoles moved on to a different architecture, it was that bad.
FSR1 was also deliberately underspecced to ensure it can run on last-gen consoles/handhelds.

I jumped from 24" 1080p 60hz to 32" 1440p 180hz and coomed. Not so sure about 27", but the hueg screen was well worth it. Soon realized I don't actually care that much for >60FPS except in really fast games, so YMMV.
If you don't mind glowing bezels, you could also play unscaled 1080p at that size, and it'll look no smaller than your old monitor. Even better if you can get a miniled that could turn those areas off, but they're virtually non-existent.

WOLED fa/g/s, we're at a crossroads. Should I try woled and cope with the lesser worse pixel fringing compared to QD and also suffer the chrominance overshoot/diagonal scanlines if I take the TV Pill?

How fucking bad is the fringing?
How bad is the diagonal dithering?

As long as the fringing does not give you a out of focus look like QDOLED it would be totally fine even if the text is fuzzier and look worse, the dithering idk, maybe you can cope with it

AMD should have embraced multi-GPU setups.
Single-card should limit things like "single thread" performance, basically, your frameRATE.
I don't see any good argument for why multiple GPUs can't be used for increasing frame DETAIL.

Yes I want to game at 8K 120Hz
I understand a some e-sports faggot will probably have issues trying to get multiple cards to sync up to his 600 FPS counter strike game, but let me enjoy high res 800W rendering for 120Hz with 2-3 cards.

Is the ryzen 9700x better than 7800X3D
>>
>>106494038
if the L3 isn't enough, no
if the L3 is enough, yes

both are 8-core CPUs with similar performance but 9700X is better at being an 8-core CPU
when the magic trick of triple the cache comes into play, the triple cache is more beneficial than the 9700X's normal improvements

in short, it will depend on the exact software/games you're using
