I got an ASRock b650m-h/m.2+ and I'll report back if it kills my 9600. So far so good, knock on wood, but it's only been just over a week.
Temps have been good and performance in gaming has been as expected. CPU never went above 85C on the hottest part, but that's with a massive cooler I got because I didn't want to cheap out on accessories, and it's probably way overkill.

Bought a new IPS screen, old one was TN. No matter how I set it up, my eyes get raped by insane contrast between light and dark. Say I'm playing a dark game like Poe then tab out into a browser with some light colours, it's like looking at the sun. I don't have dynamic contrast nor HDR enabled so I have no idea. The brightness and contrast settings are both quite low at 50 and gamma at 2.4. Is there an adjustment period before you get used to a new screen or something?

I jumped from 24" 1080p 60hz to 32" 1440p 180hz and coomed. Not so sure about 27", but the hueg screen was well worth it. Soon realized I don't actually care that much for >60FPS except in really fast games, so YMMV.

AMD should have embraced multi-GPU setups.
Single-card should limit things like "single thread" performance, basically, your frameRATE.
I don't see any good argument for why multiple GPUs can't be used for increasing frame DETAIL.

I understand a some e-sports faggot will probably have issues trying to get multiple cards to sync up to his 600 FPS counter strike game, but let me enjoy high res 800W rendering for 120Hz with 2-3 cards.

yes it matters, qdoled has INSANE fringing that gets worse with glossy and lower ppi
I used a smeary 60hz VA for competitive games back in the day just fine
I used a flickering CRT just fine
already bought two and no you don't get used to it, I am still second guessing if you will get used to it, I don't think you will

the 9800X3D which is the platonic ideal of this is prohibitively expensive so i would rather buy other equipment like a better monitor or GPU rather than pay almost exactly double in my location.

I'm on the 480hz oled and the text is perfectly readable compared to my 32" ips 4k monitor next to it.
The dse/matte looking fuzz over the screen is really only an issue with gray backgrounds like the "tomorrow" theme on here.
