I’m looking for advice because I feel completely stuck in the job search. I’ve been applying for IT and SWE related roles abroad but the moment I mention visa sponsorship, it feels like an automatic rejection. LinkedIn never seems to work (has anyone actually gotten hired through it?) and job boards almost always filter me out. For some context, I work in a country I have lived in ALL my life but don’t hold a nationality of so I am trying to GET OUT.I’ve worked in Deloitte for over a year but had to leave due to family circumstances that caused me to be needed in another country for a few months, and I’m now an Assistant Manager handling procurement, sales, and client management (also have been here for over a year). The problem is companies want more experience before sponsoring, but I can’t GET that experience unless someone is willing to give me a chance. It feels like a loop I can’t break out of. Even my home country applications haven’t been working out, and I’m just hoping for at least one interview where I can show what I can do.For those of you who’ve landed visa-sponsored jobs in IT/SWE (or similar fields):Which countries/companies were more open to hiring internationals?Did you cold email firms, and did that actually work? Are there recruiters, platforms, or specific firms you’d recommend I reach out to?Is there anyone here who would like to get to know my CV and recommend me as this is usually a game changer?I know the job market is tough, but I really want to build my career and I just need a chance. Any advice, success stories, or even pointers on where to focus would mean a lot. Thanks in advance to anyone willing to share and help.
