I want to cache all possible DNS records in a VM, how much disk space I need? Please no bully, I asked an AI and it hallucinated features of DNS into existance which don't exist. Kind of hard, actually, considering the complexity of it. Impressive!I have 32GB of RAM available, about 4GB are taken from the host or supervising software like loggers or similar. Sir, please understand what I am asking.
why? also not all dns records are static, your cache will become out of date pretty quickly. it'd make more sense to do something like monitor what records to DO hit, and have some program regularly check them ahead of time so you always have a fresh result ready for next time
why
>>106491782There is no DNS feature that gives you all the records.
>>106491782why
>>106491889>>106491897Because I can afford it, methinks. And then: Why not? Maybe it'd be quick and easy to manipulate? I wouldn't have to edit hosts anymore and could do more evil and good things. So, to gain speed and power, I guess.I am just wondering if it is possible at all for home users.Do you think DNS entries change often? I rarely change mine. In fact I can't even remember the last time my servers IP changed.I just clocked up one machine from 2.2 to 3.2 GHz inbetween posts, so in a way also because I am bored. Current opennic servers are too slow
>>106492101Why is fish USB? Is that just supposed to be a non-sequitur or is there something fish-like about USB?
>>106492101just run unbound are you fucking special ed?
>>106492218Unbound ok>>106492199good question, thank you for thread enrichment

>>106491949my post invented it, the implementation is still lacking
>>106492199It’s plug and play, universal for both sexes, clearly. You don’t have fish in your house, anon?
