It is 50 MB, not 500.

And that is only because it ships QtWebEngine to look at articles, so it includes a whole webbrowser.
Considering that Chrome somehow manages to be 100 MB+ and uses the same engine, it's not that much.
And on Linux you already have QtWebEngine for other stuff already anyway, so it's more like a 5 MB package.

And you can compile it without QtWebEngine if you feel like, then you simply don't have the browser for articles, but can still read them, since it will do basic html parsing... its just not a full webbrowser then.
