wtf, i thought that my 90 followed channels are way too much. most of them are 1 video per year too.

Yes it does.

maybe if you stopped spelling things like a petulant child they'd work right iunno

in the case of Android, 3rd party apps don't compete on equal footing with google slop. For example, google maps gets the permission to access device's location while running in the background, whereas 3rd party apps cannot even request such permission. The most you can get is a "while using the app" permission.
>>106496251
here it says "Job was c...", with the truncated part probably being "cancelled". Again, there are restrictions on what you can do in the background. This may be a coroutine cancellation caused by android deciding on a whim that grayjay won't receive any more CPU time. Turning off battery optimization for grayjay may let it run better in the background. But I can only guess, and I never used grayjay anyway.

That's source available tho

Prove it

>>106496251
it does, youtube (proprietary) breaks it on purpose.

>Source First License 1.1
you were saying?
>>
>>106498863
you said open source, it is open source.
If you want to cry about free as in freedom that is something else.

>google maps gets the permission to access device's location while running in the background
they may be depending on poogle play services to do it for them
>>
>>106496251
Compared to the other alternatives it's been working very good before the last few updates

Why do I need an account to see the docs
>>

Grayjay is proprietary. Ironic how angry OP is at FOSS but in reality it is AGAIN closed non-free proprietary by proprietary corporation that is the bad one.
>>
>>106499475
The source is open.
You don't understand the difference with that is license.
Retard.

Foss is much worse
>>
>>106496251
It does, your brain doesn't lmao.
>>
>>106499458
why did you change the link from gitlab to github?
>>
>>106499538
I don't remember why desu.
>>
>>106499490
Source is not open. You cannon reproduce the binaries from that. You end up getting different binaries for different software with different features. How difficult this is to understand. It is like proprietary Brave that doesn't have reproducible binaries and the source code is 100% unrelated. These applications are proprietary, impossible to compile to get same binaries, license is proprietary, and only open source is allowed in official default repository of F-Droid and even that doesn't accept the Grayjay or Brave BECAUSE THEY ARE PROPRIETARY. Stfu if you don't understand what proprietary software means. IT MEANS YOU CANNOT MODIFY OR COMPILE IT AND IT HAS PROPRIETARY LICENSE.
>>
>>106499475
It's open source, the source was just linked above.
Do you not know what proprietary is?
You can take the source, and change it in any way you want for yourself. You can learn from it as well. That is open source and the power of it.
>>
>>106499549
If it is impossible to compile source code into binaries, it is not open source. It ends up as different application with different features. It is not reproducible so it is proprietary. Also the license is proprietary. If proprietary software has "source available" proprietary license and doesn't even have reproducible binaries, then it is proprietary.
>>
>>106499565
that's just not reproducible binary, nothing to do with a source of a project.
Some languages even have issues doing this.
>>
>>106499573
Software is open source only if it meets all OSI criteria, allows unrestricted modification/redistribution, and enables reproducible binaries for verification (per community standards like F-Droid). Grayjay violates OSI criteria with its proprietary license, restricts modification/distribution, and lacks reproducible binaries (resulting in different, unverifiable software). Therefore, Grayjay is proprietary software. It's controlled by a proprietary corporation (FUTO) that enforces restrictions.

You keep repeating how "You can take the source" (no you can't because the actual Grayjay's source code is not available 1:1), "and change it in any way you want" (no you can't because proprietary corporation FUTO prevents you to do that), "You can learn from it as well" (impossible because the source code is not for the Grayjay, it is for some similar application that has different features) "That is open source" (false) "and the power of it." (it has zero power to be or do anything).
