Immutable distros, Wayland, Flatpak, btrfs by default - all these features provide modern Linux experience that is easy to manage and hard to break. There is a reason why Valve copied this approach for SteamOS. Arch tinkertroons and Debianfags with outdated kernels will seethe and cope but that's the reality.

I'm happy you've found something you really like. :)
>>
>>106500270
Mutable Fedora doesn't come with a single Flatpak preinstalled.
>>
I just updated my Fedora and my WiFi and Bluetooth broke. What happened? How do I fix this??

>btrfs by default
That's why it's shit
>>
>>106500487
there's nothing wrong btrfs
... (as long as you don't raid)
>>
>>106500504
It's still unstable
>>
>>106500511
i had ext4 shitting itself with data corruption due to unexpected termination of the os. never happened to me on btrfs.
>>
>>106500487
btrfs+timeshift = chad combo

they are paid developers, of course it would be innovative.

fuck off with your shilled product

kernel regression, arch also got affected.
It kinda is funny that fedora gets hit before arch.
anyhoo, pick an older kernel from the boot menu
>>
>>106500662
Just use the core version
>>
>>106500711
I'd rather run an OS that's not a limited version of a commercial product.
>>
>>106500726
its linux, you can do anything, paid version is mostly so you can call zorin support and get help

the ease of setting up a hypervisor almost swayed me
but I like Arch CBT

Add Podman to the compendium, RedHat did nothing wrong.

For me, it's the media writer. You'd be surprised how far a nearly retard proof start goes for most normalfags. I've had far more success in getting people to hop over when they don't have to deal with Etcher or Rufus and downloading independent ISOs. Only real downside to Fedora for noobs is making sure they're not terrified to touch the terminal when it's time to add the RPM Fusion repos.

6.13.x are all fucking terrible. The worst part is it only keeps three kernel updates and you can't downgrade to a previous version (other than the one that originally came with the release many months ago).
>>
>>106502197
*6.16
>>
>>106500341
Not a problem on Silverblue. And even if it wete youd just reboot and select the working kernel.
>>
>>106502197
You can pin deploys. I have pinned the original silverblue install from years ago. It works just fine surprisingly I can just boot into it whenever I want.
