I daisy chain my Macbook Pro (Superior Apple Silicon) and my NixOS (btw) via USB-C (the final solution to the connectivity problem). This makes my setup objectively superior and save energy.

Both charge via usb-c. MacBook is connected to a wall charger. MacBook has usb-c ports capable of charging devices. Other laptop is connected to one of these ports to charge, rather than directly connecting to its own charger.
It doesn't make sense immediately because it's dumb as fuck and your brain is trying to protect you
