I lose all respect for people who use smartphones. Look at this garbage. All those bright colored buttons it literally looks made for retards and children.
>>106506076In 2045, you will have no choice left, it wont be possible to do anything without it and no don’t kid yourself, there won’t be a revolution coming
>>106506076Because that's exactly who it was designed for.
I reluctantly got myself my first Smartphone at the age of 28. It's one of those phones for autists that has a native OS and you can dual boot OS's. I only got one because my parents had to get rid of landline for internet more than 1MB. I more or less just use it like how I used landline. I keep the phone at home and make and receive calls and I use Plantnet to help identify and learn things and watch youtube while taking a shit and that's about all I use it for
>>106506172Why not use a flip phone
>>106506101Isn't it already impossible to live without one?

>>106506076>>106506101It's already impossible to live without one. Do you not have a job with some app for scheduling and coordinating? Do you really go to an ATM every time you need to check your balance? Do you carry around a digital camera every time you might need to take a picture? (inb4 "muh selfies", a responsible adult is always prepared to take a picture)
>>106506194It takes a white man not to get cucked to that extreme.
>>106506076How am I supposed to use Uber or Lyft without it? I'm not supposed to drive because of a medical condition I have making it unsafe.
>>106506287OP probably calls taxis at midnight after leaving the bar and paying 3x the price as lyft lol
>>106506190Cus I want AI to teach me how to identify plants and watch plant related videos on Jewtube while I am taking a shit. A flip phone can't do that. Also, I was looking around for a good quality compact camera but they don't make or sell them anymore... Because of smartphones. I was so pissed off at phonefaggots. So that was also why I got a smartphone, reluctantly. I had no camera and I wanted one, but I didn't want one that was a pain to take with me and carry aboutSmartphone cameras are no where near as good as the last generation of compact cameras. Maybe close range, but that's all, because that's all normoids want a camera for, to take pictures of themselves. Oh wellI'm getting annoyed thinking about this again
>>106506350Buy old cameras you braindead nigger.
>>106506406There's no one selling them, idiotI've looked already. No one in my area sells em nor does the manufacturers. I'd have to get lucky

>>106506350Android flip phones exist, and why not get an action camera? Those are more compact and better quality than any old compact you could afford
>>106506841>Android flip phones existBut sure I might as well just get what I did get at that point>and why not get an action camera? Why get that over a phone? What I want in a camera is for it to be easy to carry and put in my pocket, and have good quality, and for it to be adaptable for any situation. That includes things far off especially. A smartphone camera is only good short range generallyI used to have a digital camera when I was a kid and i'd carry it around in my pocket all the time. I'd take pictures and record things I seen on the fly, things that you can easily miss. A pod of dolphins swimming from orcas off the coast, two hawks fighting over a rabbit, some cool mushrooms I found, the northern lights, me and my brother mucking about in the snow, a big fish I caught, moments I want to remember. That's how I used to use a camera and that's what I want one for. A phone isn't really that great for it but it's better than nothing. To me, an action camera is not really any better for what I want a camera for. The closest there is now are small professional cameras that are still kinda big to but in your pocket and you need to attach big lenses onto them and that would just put me off carrying it about with me everywhere
>>106506194I guess it depends on the country but AFAIK you can still get by with a dumbphone (SMS) and a computer for most use cases. But slowly they'll all require dedicated apps (which 95% are just repackaged webshit). My local goyslop provider asked me to install their app to order food. I just talk to local businesses directly now.

>>106506076I lived without a smartphone for the first 18 years of my life (I'm 21 btw). I was forced into getting one because my Uni required me to use 2FA. I got an iToddler phone because I am actually inept at using then, I'd have to look up how to change the brightness. I have maybe 10 hours of total screentime on it, all of that being phone calls and 2FA. I have 1 app installed.

>>106507097>But sure I might as well just get what I did get at that pointGlass slabs are for faggots and picrel. I like having a rugged durable phone that has a real shape and real buttons to type on. It does just what I need without distractions and costs peanuts.>Why get that over a phone?A $300 gopro still mogs even $1000+ phones with better resolution, stabilization, wider angles, good built-in mic, all the controls you need (save for aperture). Batteries can be swapped in 10 seconds, it's waterproof and can take a beating. Your expensive phone will be dead in a year or two. A dedicated device will always be more convenient because it's the tool for the job, e.g. I can power on and record immediately in just one button press and I don't need to keep the screen turned on to verify it's still going on.I was in the same boat before, was looking for classic compact cameras and got mad when I learned smartshits killed the market. If you do get one for an acceptable price, it's gonna be alright for photos and shit for videos due to no stabilization, usually limited to 1080p or 30fps, and you'll be waiting all day long for it to recharge over USB A (or worse, have to buy new AA batteries).

Why is there an ICE app in the dock on the right? Is it a spic reporting app?
