I've been using a USB dac lately because even in phones that still have jacks, if the hardware isn't shit, the software eventually turns it to shit after enough updates.These dacs have made me understand the inevitability this all actually was. Even if Apple didn't do their forced obsolescence the way they did, these dacs coming out on their own would have done it all the same. And that saddens me really...It just sucks now that you either have to deal with a USB dac on a cheap device without a headphone jack, deal with the shitty crackling audio from an actual headphone jack on a cheap phone, or shell out money for one of them DAPs that has the decent enough hardware in it but will cost you a pretty penny.Really is just shitty choices these days...
