How can I invent chatgpt if I was sent back to 2005?
>>106507755You'd get black-bagged pretty quickly considering the military had LLMs running on their supercomputers since the late 90s. You think that idiot Sam Altman came up with all this?
Why would you do that? Just buy 1000 buttcoins.
All the ai algorithms used today have been around for much longer than that. Hardware limitations were the reason they couldn't be put into practice. So you wouldn't be able to change much if you travelled to 2005
>>106507755Just bring a copy of Attention Is All You Need with you.
>>106508526>just bring a poorly written paper
>>106507817you sound salty. what the fuck does any of that have to do with what he asked?
You would use a decoder LLM and have a very ambitious idea from using them. Simple as. The future is owned by the optimists
>>106507755Only really Google and the NSA had the infrastructure to attempt it back then. AI really needs a lot compute and data during the training phase (without that the inference phase is useless) and very few orgs had that sort of thing.
>>106507755Only way is to get bitcoin early on and then blow your money on contracts. You could even contact the deepseek people and other current competitors to make sure you release open source models early one. And also start working on non copyright sources for your model training.
