Think about how many of you truly understand how 4chan works. I'm not asking about the coding or graphics, but rather, do you know what program it's written in? How would you write it? If all 4chan employees disappeared, and the 4chan broke, how many of you could fix it? We're talking about a relatively simple IT problem for professionals.
The truth is, probably 95% of people worldwide couldn't even produce toilet paper. If all toilet paper manufacturers disappeared, we'd likely have to use leaves or books.

How do you even manage to come up with threads this retarded

>4chan employees
The janitors union should demand double pay.
>>
well it's source code was leaked so it's not hard to just go have a look

I don't think you understand how websites work. You should leave.

You seem to be quite confused about how programming works.
Anyway, there are plenty of professional software engineers, sysadmins, and other tech workers on /g/. I would actually guess that we're the majority, at least if you exclude people who only visit to ask what headphones to buy.
Recreating 4chan wouldn't be very hard. Quite a few people have already written their own imageboards just for fun. The hard part is attracting and maintaining a community.

Imagine being this incompetent

There are crypto scams that have more advanced websites spun up in 31 minutes anon and you even have AI coding to help you now. Zoomers are such pathetic competition its insane

mate it's a website
a 15 year old child created it in 2004
shit the whole source code is right there
https://github.com/AlexDev404/4chan-main/tree/main
you can make it right now
>>
>>106514174
>you can make it right now
And many have. Don't tell OP about all the Xch alternatives that have been created and even improved on 4chan. It's just that 4chan is where the action is
>>
I can register a domain, point DNS to that domain, set up a server at the domain's IP address, and install the requisite software. I couldn't programme 4chan, but I don't need to because you literally just copy and paste it from somewhere else. To be fair, though, I am much, much more intelligent than most /g/ posters.

If you can't code, maybe you shouldn't make a website?

/prog/fags cannot into web hosting because it's an actual job rather than a hobby. I can do the job, and some of the hobby => much more intelligent than most /g/ posters, like I said. QED.
>>
>>106514329
Btw, websites are silly easy today, but still, if you don't at least understand code, maybe you shouldn't work with stuff that require it.
I can't carpent for shit and you don't see me making cutting boards even if it's just sawing some wood. I either buy one or ask someone who knows how to, to make me a decent one.

You're a faggot. You can whitelabel, you can't make 4chan. It doesn't make 4chan difficult, it makes (You) not a webdev.

I bet you can dance, but you wouldn't dance at the center of a nightclub. Not because it's hard to dance, but because you are not a dancer.
OP says "dancing" is hard, and people like you say "bro just watch picrel on Youtube", like both you and the OP are actual retards.

I imagine is an unholy combination of PHP and some used sun racks somehow surviving it.

It's not using HTMX and Go. That's all I know. And that's gay.

The imageboard concept is not as simple as you think. Besides threads+posts you also need accounts, files, moderation workflows, configuration, assets, bans, ratelimits, anti spam, captchas, etc. You also need a clean UI and QoL for the user with JS if they enable it (a minimum in 2025)
>>
>>106514500
only hard thing that u listed was captchas
none of this is complex btw its just first mover advantage

It’s his job to farm (you)s. don’t hate the player!

I'm just astonished by the incompetency ITT, honestly. Explains why we aren't seeing college kids taking on or improving on shit like X.

>it has a legacy PHP code, thats why it got hacked few months ago
>>
>>106515222
the fact that it took so long for "us" to find that vulnerability is more of an L on us than on 4chan kek
