Software companies claim that generative AI is greatly boosting productivity, so where are the results of this? We should be seeing vastly improved software with new features being added at a faster pace, more frequent releases, and less bugs. Has anyone actually seen an example of this happening with any software?

So it's replacing software developers, but not actually improving software in any way? What value does AI offer to the world then, other than increasing unemployment?
>>

there is more horizontal growth with more projects that relay on AI as a starting point but not so much vertical growth with already established projects inserting new code based, features or bug fixes.

Anyways there is no real method to measure AI impact because the method they gave us AI is opaque to third parties.

If someone would create an Ai that transpires code we would immediately notice it but there is none.

Im an AI

Increasing profit

So in other words, AI is creating massive amounts of low quality shovelware.

Increasing productivity

wrong, it's lowering spending
>>
>>106515833
Isn't increased productivity supposed to have some kind of tangible benefit? Software is shittier and buggier than it's ever been, so if that increased productivity isn't being used to fix that, then what's the point?

They want you dead, anon, let's be honest.

Which is an integral part of the profit equation...

From the very beginning the purpose was to eliminate jobs so rich people become richer since they no longer need to pay humans. It's the entire reason hundreds of billions of dollars have been thrown at it.

I suspect that in addition to that, it was also meant to enable them to maintain a working civilization composed of 85IQ brownoid slaves.

The results are all around us. The economy is booming. AI is improving every aspect of life for those who adopt it. There is more software than ever and it meets user needs better than ever before in all of history. AI's impact is self-evident if you care to look.

I can smell the curry through this post.

Yes, if you think ai is a tool you're coping. They really want to replace programmers, artists, and any white collar job.

E=mc2+AI
>>

I see a lot of posts on the Internet now where somebody asks an AI about the topic and the AI overview is simply the Wikipedia overview. I wonder to myself, why can't people just go to the Wikipedia and read the summary on something? Why must they get it from an AI?

We already know AI is intentionally crippled and neutered, and made by globohomo. Why would you use it?
>>

Theoretical optimal allocation of human resources means that humans should be only doing work that can only be done by humans. This means as new technologies develop it will push humans out of certain areas, which will necessarily pushing them into others. It literally doesn't matter if AI is turning software engineers into janitors - in the long run that just means we'll have more janitors and a cleaner society than we have right now.
>>
>>106516643
Yes. India is poised to reap the greatest rewards from the AI revolution. Hindi will be the language of Earth and Curry the global dish. Cope harder, white boy.
>>106516844
Correct. Just as Einstein's relativity catapulted the world into a new age, so too shall AI. Combined nothing can stop the progress of Humanity pushing ever forward.
>>106516911
Why fix what isn't broken? AI provides a centralized solution to answer all questions that can be asked. Sometimes that answer is on Wikipedia. Sometimes that answer is somewhere else. Why should I have to remember where to research when AI can do it for me, and summarize the research for me? AI provides the information I need and does work I don't have to do. AI is demonstrably the greatest innovation in all of human history and every single one of you Luddites is going to be left behind, dead in a ditch, because you refused to move with the future.

Productivity isn't an issue in most businesses since the bottleneck is usually the ability to get new clients.
Hiring seniors imo has more to do with them being in large supply.
>>
>>106515788
Not only the software field is not seeing any productivity improvements, no other field where AI is trying to be forced into has. It's a fugazi.
>>
Ai and robotics will prove without a shadow if s doubt that reality has s leftist bias. Youre not republican, youre not right wing. Youre just a confused idiot.

It's also depleting our water supply, there's that.
