I've tried to move to Firefox from Chrome, but Firefox is just so fucking clunky it's unbelievable. It has so many annoying quirks that make it a pain to use.Chrome just fucking works.

reminder that these troons spamming/flooding don't have jobs
>>106518455And here's why that's a GOOD thing.
>>106518247That's a lot of words just to say nothing constructive.
>>106518247it is fine for what it isonly problem I have with it is the CORS errors it gives me when trying to post images to 4chan which are driving me up the walls
>>106518247Installed it once, on first launch it kept opening tabs nagging me to set it as default browser, haven't tried it even since. Obvious malware
>>106518247If it's a choice between using Chrome and not using Chrome, I'll take the latter thanks
>>106518247
Come home white mango
>>106518247given that you "moved from chrome", i can only assume that chrome predates you and deduce you are probably some maladapted brain damaged zoomer who has trouble with folders and cant cook a hotdog to save his life.
>>106518455>reminder that these troons spamming/flooding don't have jobsNobody would employ them. The only place where they can spew their opinion is here where you can post anonymous..Also skill issue
>>106518247True, I always keep coming back to some chromium browser.Worst thing is that Firefox won't get better, Mozilla keeps adding normie shit that nobody needs instead of making the actual browser great.
Firefox is better for browsing while chrome is superior for streaming content.I use both browsers on my monitors.Computers do not lock you into using only one.
It doesn't matter how many times you type Skill Issue, Firefox is aids.Firefox 2.5 was the last good Firefox, 3 onwards ruined it more and more as time went on, adding useless shitty features every other few updates that nobody fucking asked for, ruining the UI constantly, killing off XUL support, that disastrous tab bar they did a while back.Do I still use it? Yes, on PC and Android, but it is a secondary browser now. More so in the case of Android I value it immensely for userscript support. But if that never existed, I'd simply change the code to use node / python to fetch shit for me instead as that's all I use it for - fetching beyond the bounds of localhost.
>>106519582Does it only happen for certain formats? Because I never encountered this.
>>106520580>>ok i use firefox but its quirks suck>skill issue... but still use firefox, nothing elsefirefox is a minor issure compared to the hysterical retards who shill it
>>106519732Yes. It's called the retard filter.
>>106520588no, its called a shit productenjoy irrelevancy, autismo retard
imagine using firefox lmao losers
>>106520597>>106520642Filtered hard.
>>106520643cope
skill issue, works on my machine
>>106520697same on minei just nuke it immediately and install brave in its place
>>106518247Once Firefox is fine tuned it's ok but I don't need to restart it every hour or so and for some reason it grinds to a halt if you have the history page open.
good morning
>>106518247if you were gonna do this bit you could do chromium, ungoogled chromium, fuck even edge. Youre clearly to dumb to use a hipster fork of FF so i will at least tell you to open the settings, click the search bar, type "sponsor" and untick everything, then type "suggest" and untick everything, and type "telemetry" and untick everything. This and ubo will get it at least working while you rtfm and google how to actually debloat and harden your browser.
>>106520781or you could do none of that and just install bravegod you fanbois are retarded
>>106520839paid shill. Not mining crypto for you btw.
>>106520864its not mining cryptoand pozilla is a google companysince 2006 iircenjoy your spyware, retard
imagine using anything but safari you guys will never make it.
>>106520894>no adblock oobinto the trash it goesalso apple software is trasht. programmed on apple at school for 3 years
>>106519732Wow you mean like every other browser in existence? No way dude!
>>106520889Ad company rep over here talking about spyware
>>106520955>spywareperfectly on topic.isnt the OP about firefox?
>>106520705fair enough.>>106520752AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
>>106518247Firefox's main issue is the small dev team compared to Chromium that is contributed by both Google and Microsoft, and has tons of smaller projects forking from it too like Yandex, Vivaldi, Opera, Brave, DuckDuckGo, etc. Chromium is also like 82.5% of all internet users, Safari is around 15%, and Firefox and it's forks are around 2.5%. Sites just don't care to optimize or make sure Firefox is compatible with them, so all the pressure is put on Mozilla devs to fix the issues. It's honestly over, I think accepting Chromium as the only base for browsers is just reality, but you can fork Chromium into different sides while keeping the same engine base.
>>106520752>company is running by pajeets>turns to shit
>>106518247It's either that or ads, pick your poison.
>>106518247I just don't have words to express why I find Firefox bloated as fuck
>>106521770browsing anything but static sites makes it memory leak like hell
>>106521729Pretty much every chromium fork still allows UBO or UBO lite, which does work, just less control. It absolutely is not a "pick your poison" scenario, at least not yet, and brave's shields work quite well ootb.I say this as a 20+ year ff user.>>106521883Not sure if its a problem with Librewolf specifically, but I've watched it memory leak to oblivion a couple of times and eat up every system resource available.Hasn't happened yet on the most recent version tho
>>106520752The guy in the middle looks like Grimace
>>106518247I'll always use it because of it's customization, but it's true that it's way slower and often unresponsive.
>>106518247Git gud
>>106520562no but RAM does
Works on my machine
>>106518247Works on my machine. Also no ads.Not a single one. I use 6 adblockers. And anti tracker extentions.Sounds like youre gay.
The absolute jackasses at Mozilla have decide to break the browser if you don't restart it after it updates. Your tabs may or may not be restored. Screw your train of thought. They know better than you.
>>106523012>6 adblockersu alright lil brou only need one on chromium or firefoxhaven't seen an ad for anything in years.
>>106518247>"I currently have 200 tabs of gay porn open">"why is this so fucking slow?"
>>106521899No other browser correctly detects and blocks CNAME Cloaking.
>>106520752good morning firefox sirs
>>106518247Name those annoying quirks then, let's hear
>>106524156safari does

I'm using Firefox ESR on my Debian 12 32 bit netbook with 1 GB of RAM. It works fine. Just a little slow to start.
>>106524329I meant Chromium browsers (they were shilling Brave and talking about how uBlock Origin lite is still available despite it lacking the same features as uBlock Origin and it never supporting blocking CNAME Cloaking since it lacks the Firefox specific APIs for that) but yes, Safari does also have strong protections if you happen to be using iOS or macOS.
>>106525297ah I See and yeah you're right, block origin lite isn't that good compared to block origin, it's lacking lot of stuff.
>OOOH MUH CLUNKY
>>106518247what do you miss in Firefox that Chrome can do? what do you find clunky in Firefox?
>>106518247it's slower but if you have an ancient pc you'll notice that
>>106518247Firefox is literally a clone of Chrome now, if you have problems with Firefox then you also have the same problems on Chrome
>>106525651>>106526284Chrome is way better than Firefox when it come to displaying many many tabs, even with tab width set to the minimum in Firefox.
>>106527086On firefox you're expected to install tree style tabs.
>>106527092tree style sucks though
I use the DDG browser and it’s great. Came from Brave because of some bull fucking shit that fucktard browser kept doing wrong.
>>106527099>>106527086They have a sidebar with vertical tabs built-in now.
>>106527152i do not like vertical tabs
vertical tabs are zoomer slop
