Why doesnt nvidia make CPUs? Wouldn't that give them monopoly over conputer parts? Is it because NVIDIA and AMD CEOs are cousins and they plan to eventually merge companies anyway?

It's no hidden secret. AMD and NVIDIA also were caught price fixing back in early 2010s iirc. It's all an act. It's why AMD refuses to make any real movement with Radeon. It's all calculated.

Also NVIDIA does make CPUs and SOCs. The Switch is literally powered by one. They just can't make x86 chips is the big deal.
