Why does C/C++ + CMakeLists.txt just work perfectly right out of the box, while Visual Studio Code is a pain in the butt always mangling posix file paths?

Clion has input lag for me.
Which makes it worse to use than vscode.

for jetbrain there's a plugin that replicates your inputs from vim to jetbrain, but I tink it's only usable for intellij, never tried on clion. but yeah, their ides are so fucking slow, it's a pain when you're forced to work with it.

I wouldn't compare CLion to VSCode they are totally different, you should compare CLion to Visual Studio instead.
