I listen to physical CD's from +40 years ago. The audio quality is still technically superior to this Opus format. I'm not going to rip all my stuff to opus to listen to that on my computer and convert my entire library of FLACs to that. Storage is cheap nowadays. It's the only reason I see for bothering with this sort of encoding.

96k is enough, but some people still prefer encode to 128k, maybe from the mp3 legacy. You should do a blind test to be sure, but from my experience you can even go lower like 6xk to 7xk without much downside on most things.
