Is Python just libraries and modules?
I learned Python at the start of the year, I spent months trying to get good at it.
I wanted to actually know the ins and outs of Python, not just be familiar with the basic syntax.

Last week I got a junior backend job at a major bank in my country (I'm in South East Asia)... and everyone is just using libraries. Like 80% of my work is just letting someone else's code do everything to the point that we're literally just copy pasting shit from a text file where they've saved the most used functions.

Wtf?

No, you need to write all code by yourself and be 10x less productive.

yes, i often write files that are often just eleven import statements and nothing else

This but unironically. Productivity is a death cult.

It is a wrapper, a board of glue you stick things to. ;^)

Libraries that just work under the hood and you have no idea what they are actually doing makes me uneasy as fuck

The point of a job is to make you suffer.
To make you hate what you loved doing.
That's why you are getting paid, so they can suck out what little soul you have left.

Did you really think FOSS fags were idiots?
