why don't people like technology any more
It started being bad, so people stopped liking it

>>106529717Because technology stopped actually advancing in the 2010s. The only things that have changed since is the resolution of the camera in it, and the speed of the backdoor they sneak its pictures out of.
>>106529717You know why
just kidding
I think they call the reason enshittification nowadays but it has been going on for over 2 decades already
All the technology I get excited about is 20-30 years old.
As far as I understand it, technology became too complicated, too overwhelming for normies. If you have normie friends you'd understand. It may seem like technology is getting dumbed down, but if you want to get into a field, there's so much information where different sources are also conflicting with each other, it's hard to get on track.

>>106529717Technology usefulness peaked around 2010 for most normies. Computers were capable of pretty much everything they are capable now and just started compeating in pointless benchmark contests. Increasing the computing capabilities has done nothing really aside from giving devs excuses to be sloppy and wasteful with performance. Videogames peaked graphically at around 2015 and have been just a pointless reason to get stronger PCs. Now the only new tech is the blockchain which for 99% of people just means energy inefficient way to pump up meme stocks called “crypto”, and AI, which right now is useful mostly for cheating whatever thing you can name, and in the future it will either crash US economy or create jobless super survailence state. Or have tiny hypothetical chance of just killing everyone with murder robots like in some scum-fi movie.
