It's hard to say since you don't remember what happened, but it sounds like that might have been Tailscale.
Tailscale is the Plex of Wireguard. Wireguard is free.
You should be able to do a full Jellyfin set up with whatever bells and whistles you like for free (excluding ISP of course.)

Emby user here, would've used Jellyfin if their app was directly available from the Tizen store. With what Plex has done of the last couple of years I really don't understand why people still use it.

I honestly don't know what to tell you. Maybe Plex is actually the right choice for you. From this post and your other posts you seem so helpless that paying for the privilege to download your own files might actually be best in your specific case.
