Why was everyone wanting to quit their jobs last thread don't you know we're at the gates of a worse-than-2008 recession
>>
>>106532183
I think people realize it even if just in their gut. Why bother trying when we're all going to get fucked?
>>

SWE, fully remote, is it just me or half the "women" actually men. It's hard to tell for most since they don't have a profile pic. It was a complete jump scare on a recorded call with my camera open so maybe people noticed my shock when the person with the camera off had a deeper voice than me.

I think people are starting to realize being a criminal isn't bad. not advocating it at all but just saying....
>live fast die young more exciting than wagie
>you're nobody's bitch until you go to jail and then you're going to be someones bitch but again much more exciting than waging
>country has the most passive slap on the wrist ruling "just let them go into your house and rob you! :D"
>everyone's a fucking prick and it's time to get your payback.
>the rich are just criminals anyways, why can't you get a slice of the pie?
>ohhhh noooo you can't get a job or buy a house with a criminal record, like you're getting one now LOL

I will keep on riding my office job and kill myself when I can't anymore
>>
>>106532271
Even if the aggregate looks bleak, you always have to look out for yourself. I wouldn't want to stay in a dog shit job that was actively harming my health, or if the pay was so bad I couldn't keep up with inflation.
All to say, there's a lot of reasons why people are still going to change jobs even if the economy sucks.

There's barely anything criminal worth doing these days. Drugs are mostly decriminalized, robbing someone is pointless because you'll get caught or shot and becoming a murderhobo is only fun for a day or so. Maybe rape and kidnapping?
>>
>>106532385
If that is programming salaries then its dropped as low as IT salaries. Which means its fucking OVER.
>>
>>106532401
i mean fuck you're going a little extreme, i was just thinking of stealing shit in the office or joyriding the golfers ferrari or something.

>>106532401
All people have left is petty theft but even then you need to resale it to make it worth it. At that point i rather contact a manufacturer to do resales on amazon. Even then i can go be a professor at some community college for 3-5k a month(class schedule depending).
>>
Murder isn't fun because it'll stay on your conscience and even if it's legal like being in the army when you're in a firefight you'll suffer PTSD. Kidnapping means you'll be on glownigger watchlist so you'll die in a shoot out. Raping means you'll just be candlewaxed in prison. Tax evasion means you'll be disbarred from any government jobs, and have to work as an amazon warehouse packer. Probably the most interesting role at the moment would be working in the arms or defense industry since you get to make cool weapons that will ultimately kill others but hey the pay is good.

You guys are total doomers - why?

If these are your original thoughts you should be able to explain why you're so bent out of shape - otherwise you're just repeating other doomers from 4chan, of all places, and making your lives worse.

As someone who got bent out of shape and quit their job before, it's a bad move - although unemployment was fantastic.

Jamie Dimon has a more nuanced perspective. I'm sure he'd say something like, "If you have a job you should work hard and be excellent at it, otherwise your company should terminate you and get someone better and more motivated to help the company succeed. You have the ability to choose what you do for work. Go elsewhere if you don't like what the company is doing".

I think that's totally reasonable, but I also don't want to work hard at my job and only do short bursts of necessary work more a few reasons. The main one is no one needs my assigned tasks - they're largely irrelevant data analytics.

We've actually been in a recession since 2008, the only difference is that a lot of unqualified holes and non-whites got jobs due to the NGO complex and Obamunnist government subsidies to corporations. Trump doesn't understand this so he implemented DOGE which succeeded in taking out some of the Obamunnist subsidy programs but he's completely oblivious to the fact that the economy is garbage without that band-aid and has to be fixed the hard way.

My contrarianism is caused by the fact that when "normal people" get into something it's almost invariably made worse.
The point of being anti-semitic was to try and get white people to understand their role in the world as a separate race and that other races have race-wide motivations that are antithetical to our flourishing.

What it got turned into was "OUUUUGGGH THE POOR RETARDED BROWN TERRORISTS ARE LOSING A WAR AND ISRAEL IS ACTUALLY A WHITE SETTLER COLONIST RACIST BLAH BLAH BLAH."

At this point of the economic and social cycles it's much better to spend time rehearsing what you tell people you do on than actually doing the work.
Any workplace conversation I overhear or participate in is some variation of
>what are you working on?
>I'm soooooo busy

I agree, but it doesn't matter politically if you're going to allow companies to ethnically replace your country's entire workforce with shit-smelling curryniggers. Trump basically has three options: end H1B and deport every Indian, start a right-wing NGO complex to hire people, or the third, which is lose midterms, lose 2028, and have the GOP become unelectable for the next 50 years while democrats turn the country into South Africa.

I feel like the older I get the more I question why I'm even pushing this hard. I got the wife the house and the dog. Why am I still grinding for more monopoly dollars during my youth?

I would rather my elected servants just do their job and protect the domestic economy and nation rather than unleashing the global hordes upon it

At some point everything gets so apathetic and idiocratic that no one bothers to fight to save anything. The states have their own militaries and if they formed coalitions that ganged up on the original US there would be no battle just a quiet divorce.

I got into frontend web development at 29 because I got fired from my previous job and I thought this was the easiest branch of programming to get into.
Honestly I don't find it difficult but it's been 6 years and this is boring me to death to the point I'm starting to dread computers.
Already thinking about what could be my next job.

Does your company look down on people who have been laid off? Are we really damaged goods?

>apply for hundreds of jobs
>get like a dozen interviews
>all of them are multi round interviews for no fucking reason
>randomly get ghosted after round 2 or 3
>check back a month or two later
>they've hired a jeet
Genuinely how are you supposed to live when this is so common? Aside from being born 20-30 years earlier?

Bro i've never failed at a Job interview once i'm in person, learn to be more charismatic. Except if it a Jeet, those are automatic failures.

I'm stuck in a role where I have an overambitious VP and a yes-man boss. How do I cope? They keep asking me if the impossible can be done and every time I say no, they'll accept it and then bring it back in the next month or so. The team we work with are also whiny office political assholes. Anytime I get a project in a working state, my VP looks at it and says, can we actually change this so it does "x,y,z,a,b,c" and I'm like "No, the system doesn't allow for that." "Hmm..." then he drops the project and I'm just so frustrated man. I spend all that work and he always scope creeps to infinity and beyond. This guy really expects me to build a rocket ship with lego blocks. I haven't gotten a solid win in months since they always want a fucking unicorn solution and I'm working with archaic bullshit tech.

Even doing the bare minimum in throwing something together as a deck just feels mindnumbing. I just don't see the point in doing anything and I get that pit in my stomach and chest that's just feels like I hope I can go to sleep and never wake up. Any advice?
