so use which one then.>inb4 self hosting
There is a distinction to be made here: Proton didn't surveillance their user (from what I can see here). They were notified that illegal stuff happens over one of their accounts and suspended it. Proton exists within jurisdictions. Actions have consequences - that was never the point. Privacy is though. But that's apparently not the issue here. All good.
He lost
>>106539787>protecting your privacy is now "risking itself for you"Proton had one job.

>>106544726I think I can offer a real private email service.Russian gubmt doesn't cooperate with westoids, so western users won't have to worry about being spied by 5 eyes, and our big brother doesn't care about you.
>>106544777Honestly I have had this thought for ages and you're right tb.hJust worried about dealing with domestic companies and agencies using a .ru email address Kind of a big stigma
>>106543772Posteo
>>106544799Domain and hosting are different things THOUGH.It could be .ru, it could be .su, it could be .vip or .work or .xyzI think even in Russian jurisdiction I'll have to do something to prevent it turning into CP-central, but for "normal" privacy purposes it would just work.
