Some days it doesn't even go over 12...I ran my server on 8GB for about a month until I could get a good 2nd hand kit and it was fine for general computing, web browsing etc.

I bought 2x32gb of ddr5 that I can get up to 6000mhz back when the 12900k came out and ive used to same 2 sticks ever since, its been like 3 years and theyre still considered overkill I'm pretty happy. I only come close to using 64gb when compiling stuff lol
16 GB is what they give you for free with a new laptop.
