The quality for the 256k AAC files in their web player that are protected with it are significantly worse than Apple Music, which also uses 256k AAC and Widevine in their web player. Widevine L3 is so broken it might as well not even be considered real protection at this point. The real problem is how shitty the files coming from there are. I think there are also tools that can get the 320k OGG files from Spotify, but who wants those?
