>>106543594you dont use that
>>106543637Get fucked
>>106543696Based.>>106543637BTFO!
Acer produced a 1440x900 monitor that had some success, as it was the cheapest widescreen monitor you could get.
>>106543696Dunno why it says my 3060 Ti is 4095MB when they only ever made 8GB models. Either Speccy is crap or NVIDIA's hardware info is crap.
>>106543714Asus actually.
>>106543594This is a cope.
>>106543770What's cope about all bitmaps needing a bilinear filter?
>>106543594>What's the use case for getting rid of my 20~ yo monitor?getting a modern TN with less ghosting and better colors than an '08 IPS
>>106543817>a modern TN with less ghosting and better colors than an '08 IPSDo you have recommendations?
>>106543817Do they even make 1080p OLEDs?
>>106543843not near it so can't get the model i have, i just know it was LG and cost me $100 before covidmost of them should be good though, TN viewing angle problem is barely a thing these days for 1080 at 24", and it's easy to get 100% srgb
>>106543594Yeah if all you do with your computer is watch Youtube videos then 1080 is good enough for you
>>106543594Your display is degraded to piss yellow and you wouldn't notice until I point it out
>>106543594>Most YouTube videos are still 60fps or lessALL YouTube videos are 60fps or less. I think twitch is the only platform that supports more
>>106543847Yes, 15.6"
Any good miniLED recs?
>>106543843Pretty much any modern TN will be better than an old IPS, both technologies have gone very far. It all depends on your budget and use case.
>>106544036Price?
>>106543847not proper ones it really sucks its weird i assume they think theres no market for 1080p oled monitors
>>106543875why would you get tn over ips you can get high refesh rate ips monitors cheap https://www.amazon.co.uk/iiyama-G2470HSU-B1-23-8-1920x1080-165Hz-1H1DP/dp/B08ND5KTY4?th=1
>>106543594>posted from New Delhi, India
>>106544283Again, I bought this monitor new when it was new, along with a first-gen i7 and GTX 260.
>>106544233I've got mine for 138 bucks shipped. Now they might be cheaper, or discontinued and replaced with a newer, more expensive model.
>>106544361Mine was for 99€ flat.Works like a charm. I'm just glad I didn't choose the touchscreen one,Useful in some cases, but not worth the gap.
>>106543594>be me in current year>buy new monitor>1440p, 180Hz, IPS, 32">watch youtube videos in 720p with matching player size, because who gives a shit, it's youtube>use 100% scaling in OS and get more screen real estate>still have my old 1080@60 screens on both sidesThe only issue is that vidya is more demanding by default unless you want to use slopscaling or play in a window.
I still have my vga lg monitor.Sadly it doesn't work with my current gpu on w11.I used a vga to dp adapter but the os refuses to recognise the monitor.Worked fine on w10.But it still works, it's impressive.
>>106544844>watch YouTube videos in 720pHow does fullscreen look? Do they look blurry and/or smeary? Have you tried viewing 720p images in fullscreen? If so, how do they look?
>>106543594same i bought an 32 inc oddysey because samsung va magicbut i cant help to throw my 2008 tn panel so i plug it in i power it on i wait and bam a 1080p that burns my eyes is in front of mei vomit at the pixel density but its nostalgia
>>106543594>1080 and not 1200 on 24"ngmi blurmaster
>>106543594>2025>no high resolution 24" displaysACK
>>106544890720p on a 1440p screen will look exactly like native 720p as long as you use integer scaling. Otherwise it might only look a bit better than 720p on 1080p. But either way it's not going to look good up close at that screen size, because it's still 720p.Videos are easy to upscale anyway, games not so much.
>>106544965>will look exactly like native 720p as long as you use integer scalingYour eyes will still notice the cells
>>106545062Yeah, consider what native 32" 720p would actually look like at regular viewing distance.
>>106545144I meant the monitors own cells; your eyes will still notice that the detail per pixel is less than 1 because you can't truly ignore the gaps between the monitor's cells.
>>106543594>What's the use case for getting rid of my 20~ yo monitor?if it's ccfl, it's dim by now
based 1080pGODS thread
>>106543594This is copium.Graphics have stagnated, the only real way to see some gains is going 4k Oled.>buh burn inNot an argument, it'll burn in the same way a gpu will get shit and degrade, ill just buy a new one. Im not wasting leisure time on basic bitch monitors, theres no point if you can get something that looks good.
>>106543696>2008 speccyboomer still using speccymentia that thinks a 3060ti has 4GB VRAMlol these speccyboomers just never left 2008 disco stu ass niggas lmao
>>106546789>Graphics have stagnateSo basically, 4K 240Hz monitors are only good if you think modern games are better than Parasite Eve 2?
4k is best
I like 2400x1080
>>106544273>why would you get tn over ipsBecause IPS can't display dark content without looking like garbage.
>>106547057really? black levels are really good on mine its way better than my previous benq monitor which had a tn panel
>>106547725Most IPS monitors have noticeable IPS glow when looking at an angle. Some more than others.TN monitors don't have that. Although they can still have bad contrast or backlight issues. It varies from monitor to monitor and from panel to panel. But on average TN does better on dark colors.
1080p 60fps TN monitors are the 4channiest displays ever made. There isn’t a technology that hasn’t been as widely promoted as 1080p. It’s just 4channy. I wonder what CRT fags think of this.
