I've done quite a lot of gens on A1111, but Comfy allows for more finetuning and exploration, other platforms are not bad and I don't encourage going into it if there is no need, but crying and saying that is shit just proves you dont know what the fuck you are talking about

That's a pretty blurry upscale.
For more detail, I would suggest inpainting over it section by section with a low denoise value like 0.1 or 0.15.
Inpaint masked only and inpaint square-shaped sections with resolution set to 1024x1024 (or 1536x1536 if using an Illustrious 1.0-based model). Make sure the square-shaped sections are smaller than the resolution you specify.
Your shit will look super crisp and detailed if you do this.
This should really only take a few minutes.

Got this super cool Jalter gen from a SchizoJapanese Checkpoint with a random seed but can't reproduce it.

What I'm trying to achieve:
Serious,cinematic anime style without falling into retro territory
More mature facial proportions, not the typical big eyed anime slop
Dramatic lighting and color palette
Detailed face battle damage wounds
Overall "serious anime movie" aesthetic

I've tried tagging for these elements but the checkpoint isn't cooperating.

a stabilizer lora is literally just an appropriately trained(read: it's not shit/pisswater grade) style lora of a style YOU ACTUALLY WANT TO FUCKING USE.
That's it. It's just any regular fucking lora. The lora being there, on its own, acts as a stabilizer because it's trained on a (relative to the actual model) microscopic dataset with fixed points of anatomy and steers the output towards it.
It's not complicated.
