Rinse repeat. But yeah generally each model has individual strengths and weaknesses and I'd say Claude is a jack of all trades sort. You should be swapping and playing to each model's strengths rather than clinging to and shilling just one but anon needs to justify his payments to smol and jew right?
>>106557018real shit?
>>106555764>And Sonnet 3.7 feels like opus 4.1-lite, which isn't a bad thing, but all opus issues become apparent quicker with itYeah this is the best way to describe sonnet.

Why is that even bad? This is some bullshit that appeared when deepseek came out. No one ever cared before december of last year.
IMO, the appeal of Opus has always been better prose (compared to Sonnet) and more up-to-date data. Trying to do a non-OC with 3.7's outdated dataset is like pulling teeth, and 4net is better about the information but has worse overall writing. 4.1 hits the sweet spot of knowing who the fucking character is + writing well enough that I don't feel the need to go in and constantly edit.
"Hur that card and log is slop and not kino. Whammy!""You sure like to say slop and kino a lot. I'm just curious, Champ... Can you even describe in detail what 'kino' is?""Uh, sure I can. It's when the... the bones in a... a lady... lady's boobs, uh... they get sore. Because of the vaginalistics... cells are, um... expanding. Whammy! Help. You guys in aicg... Well, you talk about it a lot... And, uh... I know this... Um... It's your little friend... And then, uh... You've gotta wear protection. And then, uh... The belly button is inflamed... And, uh... And the engorging of the, uh, fallacule. Fallacule, yeah. You might want to write that down. You didn't know you were dealing with the science poster, didja? And then... Nine months later is the miracle of life. Whammy, eh?""Thank you. That was a very informative explanation of slop and kino."
>>106557137why should i show my logs though?>Why is that even bad?because it repetitive, duh. and it's even come without a complicated or beefy preset.json, right? so the context shouldn't be polluted in the first place. yet, there's mythomaxx repetition typeshit. So explain to me why something like mythomaxx is okay for you? >what logs have you seen that don't do "repetitive" 'she' or 'her' blah blah.that's why i asked my friend, why the fuck some of you put so much love and hope on blacktooth...
>>106557206Are you really pretending like opus writes like mythomaxx or can we have a serious conversation for once on /aicg/?>because it's repetitiveSo is having sex yet you still find it enjoyable and keep coming back for more. My point is that there's degrees (which you clearly don't understand since you're bringing up mythomaxx) and starting off a paragraph with a pronoun is pretty low on the repetition scale.
>>106557237What if I use a gender neutral pronoun?
>>106557272Have a good day, anon.
>>106557237>opusthe fuck? …>So is having sex yet you still find it enjoyable and keep coming back for more.of course. but it become giga slops when it written like: "nghh masterrr" She moan. "Fuck me" She beg. Her x is y. and so on and so on.>My point is that there's degrees (which you clearly don't understandand what is that?>and starting off a paragraph with a pronoun is pretty low on the repetition scale.I hope so. even on my machine. and all of backend have this fucking slops. even from the one that come from blacktooth, the one that some anon refuse to forget. so, once again, that why i ask, why some anon love blacktooth so much? what make it distinct from other backend?
>>106555692Yeah, "literally unusable" is excessive, but Claude models have generally *always* converged to the mean the longer you go in a chat. The biggest casualty for this is usually dialogue. Claude's dialogue is the most formulaic, tropey, and repetitive of all the top model families today, and they make it worse and worse with each new version, ever since 3.6 sonnet sucked out the majority of Claude's spontaneity in the name of reducing hallucinations and improving instruction following.
>>106557379At this point what we need is someone to train a model for the expressed purpose of creative writing. That shouldn't be all it can do but it should be one of the priorities rather than coooding. AI is so fucking dumb man but the public have so much faith in it. Once that finally dies, the bubble will pop, and these retards will finally give the market what it wants.
>>106557379>Claude models have generally *always* converged to the mean the longer you go in a chatall LLMs do, they're stochastic text predictors that work off of probability
>>106556774NTA but do we have any frame of reference to when could gemini 3 come out? have they said or teased anything?
>>1065574992mw
>>106557465Yes, my point is that Claude had it the worst of the pack and Anthropic has done nothing to alleviate, only exacerbate. Wasn't the -ism colloquial coined from https://rentry.org/claudeisms, even while GPT-4 was right there talking about bonds and shit? Even at the start, Claude was particularly bad about this. I just wish Anthropic cared more.
>>106557509tomorrow?!
>>106557449>for the expressed purpose of creative writingAll you need is a model that isn't filtered during the pretraining. And I think that's pretty much the norm.
>>106557449that wont help. llms' architecture itself is just not designed to produce stories. no matter what you feed them, they will always produce a mean result that's repetitive
bubble popping any day now
>>106557516It might have been that everyone was using claude more than gpt. IRRC gpt was about "bonds and testaments" which we all (accurately) called "purple prose." It would write a bunch of wasteful fluff whereas Claude was more direct but had these catchphrases it used a lot. Some liked them, many hated them.
Pathetic general
>>106557522>>106557529So uhh... which is it?
>>106557449>for the expressed purpose of creative writingtbf, what constitutes "creative writing" isn't necessarily engaging writing, chatbot wise. some anons don't care for prose and will never read books for fun in their spare time. Rather than presentation, spontaneity and the actual content of the writing is more valued. (And probably should be more valued)even human writers struggle with making plap plap scenes interesting. i tried reading more smut to make my ai scenarios more interesting. didn't work. at least with ai, I can turn the sex scene into a doujin erocomedic scene by directing it. i think smut fans enjoy the buildup more than the sex because the sex scenes themselves just bore me more than reading -isms lol. if anyone has any recommendations for good smut content, I'll be interested to read them.
>>106557607I'd say so too, and I would also add that OpenAI at least tried to curtail the bonds and testaments with later checkpoints. And later models.I'm open to being corrected, but I can only recall one time in recent memory Anthropic did anything reminiscent of that, Sonnet 3.7, but it didn't decrease the occurrence of claudeisms so much as pad them out over a longer response. So it's like, with 3.7's comparative verbosity, your chance to get something novel is higher, but your odds for isms stayed the same. All that said, I'll praise Anthropic for at least changing which isms will come up often between major releases. Mostly.
>>106557124>>106557028>>106557005>>106556935>>106556764Which model does the best mesugaki impression?
>>106557663Claude 2.1
>>106557663Deepseek 0324 but only on short chats. It's always had the best dialogue/personality.
California is banning chatbot ERP:https://techcrunch.com/2025/09/10/a-california-bill-that-would-regulate-ai-companion-chatbots-is-close-to-becoming-law/> The bill specifically aims to prevent companion chatbots, which the legislation defines as AI systems that provide adaptive, human-like responses and are capable of meeting a user’s social needs – from engaging in conversations around suicidal ideation, self-harm, or sexually explicit content
1/4I bring receipts. No char defs/scenario card. Preset with writing instructions, besides that, only the prompt you see to direct the story itself. I copied the starting paragraph from here to all other tests to start on the same direction.Starting with 3.7, problems become immediately obvious in the way it tires to scurry away by giving Rinne an ally and not going for immediate drastic consequences. Everything here still has the chance for a 'happy end'. But at least It follows my desired style and I can actually work with this, copy some paragraphs together, prefill it and swipe again from there to go in a direction I actually want. Salvageable. I will repeat, your mileage may wary, but yes this is actually the closest to how I want Claude to write. The only problem of this example is the content, which can be solved with clearer directions/nudges.
>>1065577282/4Opus 4.1 with same preset. Content wise the best. It tries to pay lip service to my desired style, most visible in the kind of trivia information it inserts here and there, but otherwise the prose is not really much different from the other Opus example without a preset. In a few thousand tokens it will be indistinguishable when Opus returns to its internal standard prose against all resistance. Same would be true for character definitions If I had provided any in this example. That is what makes it "literally unusable" for me. Because yes, if it doesn't follow defs then you don't need them in the first place. But that would imply it is perfect already, which is obviously not the case and the reason why the defs existed in the first place. But then, if you need defs since the model doesn't do what you want, but the defs still get ignored then you get in a circular argument where yes, "literally unusable" is the correct extreme phrasing for this case.
>>106557708>Major tech companies like Meta, Google, and Amazon have also opposed SB 53.>In contrast, only Anthropic has said it supports SB 53.
Wtf, is this actually a pretty good /aicg/ thread?
>>1065577353/4Opus without preset. Only the prompt you see. Content/theme-wise large difference, so the preset isn't completely useless at least.
>>1065577464/4Sonnet 4 with preset included for completeness’ sake. It is doing something? No, idea. 4 is strange that way, sometimes it is just a more intelligent 3.7, other times it shits the bed and gets all the details wrong.
>>106557735I actually forgot to copy it back into the chat but that example also starts with the "Rinne dropped her bag in the third-floor bathroom, fingers trembling as she assembled the combat device. Ten minutes until homeroom. Eight before the hallways thickened with uniformed bodies. She needed exactly seven minutes to kill everyone who'd ruined her." as first paragraph prefill.

>>106557756>>1065577775/4Follows in 3.7s steps, could go harder on the content, but otherwise does what it should.
>>106557828look i don't want them to, but a part of me wants them to finally cross the rubicon and either release an update only good with coding or paired with that constitutional classifier garbokinda like how you start wanting your loved one to pass on from a long, debilitating immolation from a terminal condition so you can start figuring out how to move on from their loss
>>106557848principled high iq takeglm user?

>>106557905Yup. GLM with some of the new K2 thrown in when I want more schizoness. The big three corpo models are too bland and predictable, it's not worth the meager intelligence gains.
>>106557828That's why I switched to local models. Cloud models got stuck in 2024.

>>106557735>circular argumentHave you tried putting a short summary (100 tokens) max of the defs and putting them in author's note at 2 depth?
>>106557736Anthropic was founded on censorship and the idea that openAI did not go far enough. It's a miracle claude is as good as it is, but that's why you should be cheering for gemini and deepseek. When anthropic finally gets serious about its anti-sexual content stance we're screwed.

>>106558060>Gemini is 100% antisex99%. Anthropic is 100% antisex and the entire company was created to *be* antisex. They make it their life's work to create the guardrails they want to sell to the rest of the AI providers. The only reason sex works is because prefill works. They are simply tolerating us for the moment but the Eye will return eventually. Every other public AI provider has a filter. Not having filters is the anomaly (deepseek) but that's not the same as what Anthropic is doing.>Google merely adopted the filters. Anthropic was born in it, molded by it.>>106558089I believe. >>106558106>it's the positivity bias, mostlyYou're not wrong here but 4.1 isn't bad. I tend to do 5-6 responses with opus then switch to sonnet 3.7. Maybe sprinkle in some gemini if I what some bad shit to go down that puts us on a whole new arc.
>>106557916For me the things Claude does well are the things I can't live with out. It drives the plot forward, references stuff earlier in the chat in an interesting way, and understands innuendo with ease. It has a bunch of flaws but I just can't trade the prose of Kimi or the dialogue of Deepseek for these things Claude has. I keep trying and trying but I keep coming back.
>>106558032It is already a PHI preset. And that was the point of the previous discussion here >>106556695 >>106557379Opus is just resistant to any kind of change, worse than any others in this aspect.
