the web is a JOKE
LAYERS upon LAYERS of SHIT
CSS is a JOKE
everything was mostly fine, generally speaking, when web page "style" was methodically and manually hand-arranged using bitmap images tediously placed inside TABLES
now, 99.9999999999999999999999% of CSS's "features" are pointless because every webpage is practically the same, bare bones styling, CSS can do so much but no one does anything with it and the only time anyone does anything with it is on a SCAM site to "wow" you with "eye candy" otherwise sites are dead simple YET CSS applied in the most convoluted way possible, bloat max nightmare, an infinite number of ways to do the same thing, left: 50px becomes left: (--var(calc(--var(calc(100vw - --var(calc blah blah blah you get the picture
the web needs to be ABANDONED
why is it upside down?
because someone somewhere at google, maybe not even a real person but an AI agent, as a "solution" to reordering the links to go from
> A
> B
to
> B
> A
applied the transform scaleY(-1) on both the A and B children and the parent div housing A and B causing a double flip, so it makes the parent upside down and then the independent children upside down as well, resulting in the confused upside down draggable element when dragged
there is no reason GOOGLE should exist at ALL any more, it doesn't even really work. it is funny that someone would search "chat gpt" on google as well
at least AOL's "walled garden" approach was relatively sane and CONSISTENT when it came to the presentation of text
>>
>>106561959
its just positioning. it will make logical sense somehow if you are not a retard and actually work on that particular codebase
>>
>>106561959
lol nice analysis
>>
>>106561959
The reason they did it this way is they want screen readers to announce "ChatGPT" before "chatgpt dot com"
>>
>>106561373
Dude, you use a troonix environment whose UI literally shits itself on its own on the regular
>>
>>106561959
100% #vibe-coded slop
gotta love how it's becoming even more obvious.
swe's at google'd rather spend 40 mins 'chatting' with the ai bot than writing code for 50mins -- but we saved time! yeah, but you still dont know what's going on and how anything behaves.
>>
>>106561373
It is an ARG! You need to copy the chatgpt logo, turn it upside down, then paste it upon the original, and a *secret message* will appear!

did i get hacked??
>>
>>106563509
Why would you do that over an aria label?
>>
>>106561959
10/10 kino analysis really felt the rage you had kek
>>

they literally develop the browser with big enough marketshare to kill adblockers. they could easily fix this
