what is wrong with it?
i see no notch so if my samsung a8 dies

He's right though. At this point I'd rather pay more money for a weaker chip than to suffer through overheating and 4 hours of SoT.

>>
>>106563400
As soon is this phone drops I am buying it
I have a phone from 2019 right now and it is powerful enough
but in the last years only gay ass retarded phones got released or phones costing near 1k€

> no fucking camera notch
> has aux port
> small sized
>Snapdragon 6 Gen 3
good enough, I am not a retarded mobile gaymer

I am currently without an aux port because I thought it will be ok, no fuck it, never again without it.
fuck BT for proper audio and I am not even a audiophile
>>
Too bad the cameras are crap.. but for 300€ max should be a good deal
>>
>>106564054
who said anything about justification
i just do not watch notch shit it is that simple u inbred nigger
>>
>>106563729
usecase of flagship chip? you don't need much computing power on a phone.
>>
>>106563400
Looks good. I wish it was smaller but hey, still got a headphone jack and sim card slot. The dual speakers are nice, will definitely enjoy those. No notch is a bonus.
Anyone know if it rocks on the table when placed down? Probably my biggest issue with modern phones.
>>
>>106564401
You know you don't HAVE to play games if your phone has a good cpu?
>>
>>106564647
Not him but I just buy top of the line specs so I can use it for 6-10 years. My last phone was a HTC One M8 and upgraded to a Zenfone 10. Headphone jack and size was the main reason. Should last me until 2031 at least.
Xperia looks nice though.
>>
>>106564647
>>106564768
Yes that I am aware of, but what else really justifies a high end phone CPU?

What are your daily tasks that any midrange CPU does not do the same as a high end one which runs on eco/throttle mode?
As said before, I still have a midrange phone from 2019 which basically is still good except battery life and now the OS/UI that is getting funky sometimes.
>>
>>106563400
Will these work in Australia? Jews shut down 3G so any phone that falls back on 3G for calls or emergency calls are blocked. Also various capable devices got blacklisted to.
>>
>>106564811
Probably not on Telstra
>>
>>106564811
Australia is turning into a shithole. In ten years it will be completely dystopian autocracy.

Audio jack and sdcard fags will pay anything for phones with their precious legacy features.
>>
>>106563400
it's the only compact phone with no notch and a headphone jack
they have no competition so they can charge any price
if the bootloader can be unlocked i'm buying it
>>
>>106564811
I'm pretty sure it still supports 2G if VoLTE isn't available for some reason

I have a 1 vi, the only reason i'd have bought the 1 vii was if they improved the telemacro sensor.

Anyway, i'd not buy one of the 10's.

Okay. But unironically, why does Sony charges for this so much, when you can buy competitors with exact same hardware for $200-350?
>>
>>106565472
>competitors with exact same hardware for $200-350
such as?
>>
why is every phone overpriced and underspecced

surely they realize their phones won't sell if they can't compete right?
>>
>>106565425
>I have a 1 vi, the only reason i'd have bought the 1 vii was if they improved the telemacro sensor.
why did you buy it
>>
>>106565472
because they have an ass ugly notch
no aux
shit ton of custom UI which is not always better
are fucking huge phone

Sony had unique selling points which still a lot of people want
the only thing missing is a simple notification LED even if it is just one color

every phone generation is a downgrade with less supported things
yes the CPU is not the best but for 95%+ of users still good enough
also good enough for 90%+ of "mobile gamers" since all your soccer mom candy crush players are also mobile gamers

A phone purchase lasts at least 4 years for me so this price I am willing to pay because the last good phone I had was LG G3 since then everything was a downgrade
>>
>no notch
why is snoy of all companies the only one capable of doing this?
>>
>>106565486
I could afford it, my galaxy s9 was like 7 or 8 years and i needed a new phone.

I wanted something the was high end, had jack and microsd and a bootloader not annoying to unlock.

Also xperia's tend to have good official lineageos support over time.

I'm overall pleased with it, the battery life is also amazing, i need to charge it like once every 3 days and it charge in less than an hour with usb pd.

I did root it and change a bunch of things though.
>>
>>106564644
it doesn't rock, thats what the horizontal camera bar is for, that the pixel 10 and iphone 17 also have

Better quality build anon. I still have a working XZ Premium from 2017. The battery never swole up. I had a Nexus 5 before that, battery swole up. I had a Samsung S3 before that, battery swole up. I've owned Xperias ever since, because they don't fucking die at the 30 month mark because the battery swells up.
>>
>>106563400
Dammit SONY bring back the Xperia 5.
>>
>>106566137
>Better quality build anon.
lol
lmao
The Xperia 1 VII had to be recalled, because the phones just died. Also, their screens are famous for getting the green line of death. Not to mention the subpar camera quality despite being on the top in mirrorless cameras. Their phone division is a bad joke.
>>
>>106563400
sony's xperia 10 models are from their budget lineup, so the cpu is bound to be nothing special.. as well as the price, sony tends to be overpriced...
>>106566137
>Better quality build anon.
i'll be honest my xperia xz premium's back fell off because the glue melted, but i'm assuming the previous owner kept it under the sun for a long time.. not sure
however, i bought a silicon case to contain the back glass and used it for several months! the phone works just fine as a daily driver if you install lineageOS on it, albeit slightly broken.. it's totally fine if you forget about nfc payments. i ended up getting a pixel 6 after it, but the xz premium served me well

the one problem is that the charging port's flex cable's snappy connector on the motherboard had mushed itself in. i had to resolder that part for the charging port to work.. however, the phone is still quite repair-friendly if you're about that. i feel like it's the kind of phone you could repair several times and it'd still serve you for years. if you're a grumpy bitch, you can call it more of a tinker toy instead of a real phone, but i enjoyed my time with it.
>>
>>106565713
> you will never ever charge the phone and listen to music ever
I am also a lot away for work and have rental cars.
It happened more than once, that the BT connection was utter crap for some times.
AUX > BT shit
doesn't matter if in the car or in a stereo or whatever

as always, better to have it and not use it than need it and not have it
>>
>>106566434

Actually, the DAC in my 1 V is pretty good.
>>
>>106566298
>All their screens get green lines
Neither of my Xperia 1s got lines, or any screen defect.
One of them drowned (I was using in a pool for hours) but still works aside from the modem
The other is posting this rn, after falling a full storey onto concrete, no case, and only slightly denting the aluminium shell.
>>
>>106563400

Nta but I had an Xperia 10 vi and it would lag like crazy for no reason sometimes, even playing music and getting a call would cause my phone to stutter for no reason and a reboot wouldn't do anything to help
>>
>>106563400

>not chink malware OS with ads in menus
I was fine with 10 III back in the day
this seems the same
sadly cameras were complete shit, so I switched to Pixel 7
now I have way better cameras, but fingerprint scanner is shit, no 3.5/sd card
I'm OK with this tradeoff, but some may not
>>
>>106566825
I have an Xperia V III.
It has a green line.
>>
>>106567163
i did not know the xz premium has a UART port..(plus it was some old man, with an iphone, apple watch, airpods all latest gen at the time)
i doubt such a person even knew what a UART is, hell, i even had to frp unlock the phone myself after i got it lol

>What were they thinking?
>>
>>106565472
Real answer, sony just doesn't have the economy of scale of other manufacturers. They still have many of the fixed costs but move much much fewer units, thus each must cost more.
Usually such an inefficient business should not exist, but sony held out.
>>
>>106563400

They only have 3 fucking models every year, and the only market they have is japan, it's not too difficult to do 2+2.

>>
>>106567517
mostly stock, they increased it to 4 major android versions, allow bootloader unlocking and usually get custom roms eventually. what's not to like
>>
>>106568486
The price tag. Four years when others are doing 7. Unlocked bootloaders locked out of useful features, plus security concerns.
