Performance is on par with Windows, apparently slightly better for some people. On some games shaders are recompiling after every driver update, which slows the game down the first time you launch it.

It's alright, used to be more finicky when I first got into it out of frustration with Win8 being an even bigger piece of shit but it's gotten a lot better since then.
You can thank Gabe for that one, heck iToddlers should be thanking him to for investing in Proton/Wine since not you can play a lot more games on Macbooks too now.... At a glorious 40fps but eyy it works.

How do I get around input lag issues with Wayland when playing fps? Fedora with gnome, no option to just switch over to x11. It's actually unbelievably bad when trying to play fast games.

I just cap them at 60fps, my display can do more but I'd rather have consistency to avoid stutters and rubberbanding effects. Also fixing your Internet does far more than worrying about your PC specs or software.
