>>106570946I still want one of these.
>>106570592no, this was
MUH NOSTALGIA
>>106572634That unironically looks like it'd be really nice to have. Does anyone use a dumbphone? How is it?With modern society I feel like it'd be a nightmare.>go to restaurant>need to scan a QR code for the menu>fuck>go to pay>bank wants me to do 2FA>fuck
>>106574136The only reason for owning a mobile phone is being able to run bank/government cuckware, and you can't run these on a dumbphone, so what's the point?
>>106574206The point is that's not the only reason. I use it for keeping in contacts with friends and family and for when I need to organise something with a business. Just call and text is theoretically enough for that except that 90% of friends and family now use apps for text and often calls instead of sms/calls.
>>106574121i have nostalgia for when technology was small and easily pocket-able before everything got huge and bulky
>>106570592Nah. 5S is superior.
>>106574136rage against the dying of the light. every time I go to a place with a QR code menu I demand a paper one. They have yet to refuse. >bank wants me to do 2FAthey’ll text you a code, that phone can still receive texts I’m sure.
>>106570592
>>106572832The boomsound speakers were just normal phone speakers with giant meshes over them.
>>106575598was still a good phone back then and it felt good in the hand
>>106575671Yes it did, I had two of them (normal OS and Google Play edition). They were sorta cheaply built though.Bit of a side note, but the LG G5, now THAT was a Sneed tier phone.
Op here, wrong picure
>>106575800last good iphone was 6
>>106570613>>best phone ever made>notrue, that would be the iPhone 17 pro
>>106570592That's not the Z Fold 6 though...
>>106574136I've been using a dumb phone for about two years. I live in a country where people aren't very fond of modern technology. Restaurants have classic paper menus, and some don't even accept cards. Banks send an SMS code to authorize payments or logins. The most important thing is that we can still use 2G phones. The government said that there are still a lot of active 2G phones and GSM appliances, so they'll require operators to maintain backwards compatibility. I own a smartphone, but I only use it as a pocket computer for reading manuals, maps, and navigation. Most of the time, it sits in my car. Sometimes I need to Google something quickly, so my girlfriend lends me her smartphone. She's not as "no-phone" as I am, but she's trying to limit her screen time, which is cool because she only uses her phone; she doesn't have a computer.
>>106570657Step aside, kid
>>106575890I want you to think really hard and find the logical inconsistency in your reply.
>>106570592this is what I need, small sleek and flat phone. I have no need for ugly camera bump & island. Just give me a fucking phone without camera
>>106570592It had a satisfying heft to it
>>106570592nO.
>>106575276>they’ll text you a code, that phone can still receive texts I’m sure. Some do, HSBC requires me to use their app anytime I want to change something in my account, add a new payee, do a new big transfer etc.>>106577218Only 4G and 5G networks are still active here.
>>106570592too bad it's no longer supported by service providers
>>106572634this thang work in burgerland?
>>106580603I think it should, it does support 4g. But burgers will never use it because they need to signal to everyone they have money for latest iphone 17 pro max ultra orange man edition even if they don't
>>106577218Here in France, they are trying to shut down 2G networks, but fire alarm and elevator installers are getting really mad because they have a lot of remote embedded systems that rely on these to communicate, and it would cost a fortune to upgrade all of them. I'm honestly not sure what is eventually going to happen.
>>106575276>they’ll text you a codeAs far as I know, there are only two banks left in my country that allow SMS 2FA.
>>106570946They don’t work anymore. Not sure my timeport does either.
>>106581902There is also lots of field equipment and sensors/ police trackers etc that use 2gIt will just be cancelled as far as regular retail consumers are concerned.
>>106577655This looked so fresh and cemented antenna-less design
>>106570592Agree. I miss my 4S so much.
>>106570592thats not the 3gs
>>106575306the htc desire z is way nicer
