Why do these UI/UX assholes put "Maybe Later" in place of a "No" button?
>>106574516Click the cross
>>106574542This is just an example image. Microshart and everyone else who does it don't always offer a cross. And if they do, it's just the equivalent of "Maybe Later" which is a warning that they're going to spam you with whatever the question is.
>>106574516Because they're giving you the illusion of a choice of opting out, when there is not really one.
I think you know "why"and there should be some ublock origin filter lists for it anyway
In the business we call this a "humiliation ritual".
>>106574516YOU VILL SAY YESIF NOT TODAY, THEN TOMORROW
>>106574516>>106574996It's how an application or service tells you it needs replacing.
>>106574516If you click a "no" they have to save state and remember you made a hard choice.
>>106574516engagement KPI numbers to the moon
>>106574516If a website has a dialog where the affirmative is>GOT IT!I kill it with uBlock or leave the fucking site.
>>106574516"Maybe Later" is corpo speak for "Snooze Until Mandatory Verification"
Everything has been co-opted by zillenials
Over the last 50 years scientists have been able to prove that if you remove choices from people or make certain choices harder, people are going to take the easier choice, and interpreted the fact they made a graph demonstrating this obvious truism as moral license to do so
>>106575544Ublock has filter lists that should clear most of those.
