I managed to reinstall the entire OS, Sequoia dual-booted with Linux Mint. I managed to debloat macOS, too and the scripts seem to work. runs way snappier than before. OCLP of course.

i have a 2014 macbook pro 13 inch that's still working well, no more macOS updates but it's fine, the retina screen still holds up well, was well ahead of its timei think i will get a used macbook air 15 inch as my next laptop, had one for work and the 15 inch screen is just so much more comfy, for daily use the air is good enough, only problem is not enough USB and other utility ports, have to get a hub
I put opencore on a 2016 MacBook Air for my mother in law and she loves it more than windows. It’s just a web browser for her for banking, taxes, Amazon. Forgot if I put Sonoma or the one before Sonoma on it.
It sucks that Linux on 2013-era macbooks is STILL far beyond macos in battery life / power efficiency. At this point it is clear that it will never get good.
