Just let me grind picrel for 2 months before doing any interviews
Very healthy industry, yep
>>
you're going to be replaced with AI lol
>>
everyone grinding that shit is also just feeding AI

You zoomers want everything for free.
You need some skills and knowledge first for someone to pay you.
>>
it's fine because the jobs that require it are literal hellholes
>>
>>106581555
>>106581591
why is america doing this? haven't seen it in germany yet
>>
>>106583144
you mean google?
>>
>>106581555
it's called humiliation ritual for juniors. you have to prove to your corporate overlords that you can sink low enough.
>>
>>106583310
yes?

You don't need to grind Leetcode, you need to be able to solve technical problems using formal and informal methods. You need to be able to demonstrate in an interview that you have relevant CS knowledge, for you know, doing things on the job like implementing hash tables and tree structures, string matching for search, etc. You hate LeetCode because it reminds you that you don't know as much as you should.

That's not true. Anyway, if you manage to land a position at Google or Netflix, or Meta, you are set for life. Imagine having that on your CV!
>>
>>106583322
it's the same for all levels, all IC roles
especially funny when you've been creating successful products all your life but won't get a job because of a silly code-math quiz
>>
>>106583369
lmao, sure thing Mark
>>
>>106583357
nah
leetcode is about repetition and that's it
>>
>>106583357
These things are built into every language plus there are 3rd party options in many cases. It is extremely unlikely that any of that will be used in a software development career outside of some few specializations. In 20y i havent used any of them.
Leetcode style puzzles would be useful in some interviews just to confirm a person can actually solve problems but its gotten to the point you are expected to grind on leetcode for months to memorize the solution to many problens and this does not make for a good interview tactic in fact i think it ensure some of the worst people are guaranteed to be hired.
Leetcode is basically a way to filter for the most striver of jeet strivers from a piles of 100s of millions jeet strivers.

once youre not a junior anymore you shouldnt need to do this shit

it's just a humiliation ritual if you're doing it with 3/4/5+ years of experience
>>
i loved algorithms in my cs course until i had to grind picrel
>>
>interview starts
>they send me a jeetcode link
>proceeds to immediately close the computer
>no arguing
Yep, I'm not complying.
>>
>>106583794
based
>>
>>106583166
>haven't seen it in germany yet
you sure? it'll be my first time applying for a real job soon and i really don't want to go through that shit. i know how to program and unless they only put hr into the interview with me i'm 100% sure i can prove that i know my shit
>>
>>106584485
>you sure?
if it's an american faang company in germany then they still do leetcode from what I heard but german companies or smaller ones I haven't heard they would do leetcode.
