Working in tech especially in a corpo setup was never interesting. Back then you still had to keep up with the demands and bootlick managers if wanted promotion. The only difference was that getting into tech was easier and the managers were not as crass and classless as they are not today. But they still fucked you up if I tried to do anything differently. The only way tech was/is fun only if you consider and treat it as a hobby. It has always been the case.
