case or without case, /g/?

Simple case for every day use and a stronger case for work.
>>
>>106583693
Am retarded, need case
>>
I drop my phone enough to use a case since I have some nerve damage in my hand but I think normal people who don't abuse their phone shouldn't need one. Also if you have any name brand phone from the past 6 years you definitely should not need a screen protector unless you keep your phone and keys in the same pocket for some reason.
>>
>>106583842
Lots of phones come with a screen protector already applied.
>>
>>106583693
I rawdog my phone. No rubber, no silicon.
>>
>>106583864
Why, at a fraction of the device's cost you can keep it protected.
>>
>>106583855
I've never seen that unless you mean the hardened glass that's popular now but classically glass is considered part of the screen nobody ever thought different with CRTs or anything.
>>106583889
A nontrivial fraction, generally. It's common for a $400 phone to have a $55 case and a $35 screen protector. Now it's a $500 phone.

>>
>>106583906
yeah and a comparable $500 phone doesn't come with a screen protector or case so that becomes a $600 phone

and at no point in the product stack of any of the major companies can you get an indestructible phone that you can safely use naked
>>
>>106583864
What phone are you currently using?

After five years of using my old phone my only problems were the power button which would malfunction sometimes and a scratch on the screen.
Otherwise it had no major breaks other than discoloration at the backside.
I think they do test the phones to not break at the first slight mishandling.
>>
>>106583693
If you have to buy a case to use your phone, you bought the wrong phone
>>
>>106583693
If you own a phone with a glass back then you deserve to be kicked in the nuts and then kicked again if you still decide to use it caseless
>>
>>106583693
only poor people use cases

>>106583956
Nord 4
>>
Does it matter? Normies just buy a new "better" phone next year.
>>
>>106583693
case because my phone has rounded edges
>>
>>106583693
The only reason I need a case is because of that fucking camera sticking out. The other reason is that newer phones have shit-tier grip. I have no idea how some people can use these things without a case.

Smartphone sales are declining. There are more than 5 billion smartphone users and yearly sales are a third of that.
>>
>>106583693
my 14 pro went through an incredible amount of punishment in a case and it still works completely fine
it even survived a 30ft+ fall onto rocks and at least half a dozen high speed bike ride falls when I was shooting something without slowing down
>>
>>106584885
Just shit on it.

this carbon fiber, it's just to hard and stiff

>>106583693
I use my phone naked, I also don't put a case on it
>>
>>106585027
nice larp but white wimin have to have a case for their phone strap to attach to which they need because they wear butt shorts with no pockets.
>>106585127
I saw this on reddit a week ago, updooted my good sir
>>
>>106585251
too slippery. I doubt phones today are even meant to be used naked.
>>
>>106583693
Use case?
>>
Usually I am selling my iphones when I buy a new one so I use a case and a screen protector to get as much money as I can when I am selling my phones
>>
without
idgaf, my phone is plastic and i dont make mistakes so i've never dropped it badly and when i did nothing happened
>>
>>106583693
case. your phone won't die from a fall, but shit can collected scratches, dents and other type of damage when it falls. worst shit is screen detachment, with ribbon cable tearing itself from the impact.
t. used to main nocase until multiple recent fuck ups. had to buy a new phone recently because of that.
>>
>>106585127

gonna try caseless on the air

I like to use both a case and screen protector, especially matte privacy ones. I think it makes midrangers look more premium too, and keeps them safer, no idea why I wouldn't use it.
>>
>>106583889
It's not about price. I don't like cases.
>>
>>106583693
with because you will drop it
>>
>>106583693
One of those armored cases that make your phone into a brick with which you could beat someone to death without damaging it.
>>
just a privacy screen protector so people dont see my cringe on the train
>>
Use case?
>>
>>106583693
you don't need one. you bought the wrong phone if you can't use it without a case
>>

I am so very wealthy, that's why I smash my phone every week and just get a new one
>>
>>106590885

Cases scratch the fuck out of your phone by trapping dust and sand particles inside.
If you're not a construction worker, try not being retarded, it's not that hard to hold on a phone.
>>
I was about to make this thread. a good case can transform an ugly phone. also do you use any other accessories phone bros?
im thinking of buying a torras ring.

i'd consider caseless on an iphone but i would never risk it with a budget poorfag android phone

jerryrigeverything is snapping those things in half on the daily kek
>>
>>106591165
why? the iphone is more expensive.
>>
>>106583693
In 19 years of having a phone I only broke it once when I was extremely drunk. I don't use a case

Aluminum Unibody and Ceramic Shield 2 means the iPhone 17 Pro is going to the most durable smart phone ever created.
