Hits different during Monday morning stand ups. What's your go to?
>>
i bet that would taste acceptable until you remembered what you paid for it
>>
slow monday mornings are breakfast burritos
>sonoran tortilla lightly charred over gas stove
>breakfast sausage
>mushrooms
>2 eggs scrambled with a splash of half&half
>chihuahua and sharp cheddar cheese
>air fried hash brown patties
I like adding guac and/or salsa verde on top as I eat so it doesn't get hot in the burrito. Cold brew coffee to drink too.
On busy Monday mornings it's a cold coffee, citrus fruit like an orange or tangerine, and something like apples and cheese or just sliced pear. Depends on what's on sale.

Monday is usually a home office day. Early meetings run from 7am to 8:30am (don't ask). 9am is a big, boring, regular meeting where I don't have to pay attention.
So after the morning meetings with the first coffees and before or into the big meeting:
>4 egg omlett
>with onions or mushrooms, whatever is in the fridge
>some salad or spinach
>bit of cheese over it
>sausage or cold cuts if there is anything left in the fridge
that usually gets me through the work day

carbs suck, and thats why "calories" are bad. because we eat carbs and we get fat because they have no protein or fat, so we overeat to feel full.

Every time I have eaten McDonalds at the one down the street from my house, I have gotten horrendous gut aches and diarrhea from it.

I no longer eat fast food as of the beginning of the year and I've lost over 20 lbs.

I cook at home. Eggs and I usually do that with a couple pieces of bacon and water. I eat out at a local supper club a couple times per month with my uncles and I'll often save leftover food for Friday AM. A piece of steak, a cup of soup, fish or hashbrowns.

Quit eating shit high in sugar and calories.

>>
I wanna add that people gotta remember to brush their teeth in the morning and while it doesn't matter whether that's before or after breakfast (as long as you wait 15 to 30? minutes before or after eating) I personally find it most convenient to do it before breakfast.
>>106592025
Bad for your teeth but delicious and very convenient. I've peeled an orange once and I'll never do it again. While that juice will deliver vitamins and such quickly, not eating the actual fruit has you missing out on the fibre and stuff. Also, the sugar is less concentrated if you eat the fruit instead.
>>106590156
I won't touch actual oranges (necessary to peel but difficult and messy), but I cut myself some apple slices almost every morning which I either eat as is or put in my muesli. It's pretty good.
For vegetables, I either eat carrots as is (you can just wash them instead of peeling, depending on the type of carrot) or put cucumber on my bread with eggs. I buy eggs pre-cooked because I can't be bothered to cook an egg and I don't toast my bread either. The most effort I'll put in is cutting an apple and putting milk in my muesli. And maybe boiling tea if I feel like I need it. (Although hot tea isn't great for your teeth either I think; still healthy in other ways tho).
I often just prepare my breakfast the day before because I really don't wanna do anything in the morning, so all I do is shove my thermos and pre-made lunchbox from the fridge in my bag and go.
I usually get ready for the day on the bus and train I ride to work. My top priority is to be on that first bus on time, everything else is secondary to that. But at least I don't skip breakfast.
>>106591065
>grains, proteins

I modeled my burrito after a local mexican place I like. It's kind of a wash speedwise since I have to clean the kitchen after and the flavor isn't as good but mine are healthier and cheaper.
I used to go there all the time but they've increased their prices to $12 a burrito now from the $8 they were during covid. I go twice a month now just to compare the flavor and god damnit they always taste better than mine.

That's a lot of food.. But no salad with the chicken and chips? Even with the ketchup, I'd find that too dry... And soft drinks like sprite are so bad for your teeth...
Also, is it some kind of fashion statement to leave the sticker on your cap? Cool earrings tho
>>106595390
But they surely didn't die of tooth related problems. I had a dental root infection once and it was the worst pain I've ever felt, I'm not surprised that people died from tooth related complications in the past. Right now, I'm probably gonna die of asthma before anything else though.
Maybe being prone to sickness makes people more likely to cling to supposedly healthy lifestyles for comfort and a sense of control. It's kind of soothing in its own way when you can't do anything about getting fucked up by your genes. I was born with only minor chronic diseases (nothing that'll kill me by the age of 30 or anything) but it sure messed with my parents and they went full alternative medicine because there was little else to do. It probably made them feel better tho.
I know someone whose mum died of cancer. She's very enthusiastic about healthy lifestyles, but I can imagine it's because she's afraid too, since cancer runs in families...

Some dane at my job told me it tasted like eggs
>>
>>106600297
You had to add to this, I just did a quick Google search.
2018 removed additives, preservatives, and most food colorings
2017 some initiative for "chicken welfare" (lmao) which was mainly higher quality chicken sources with 3rd party audits
2018 changes to the healthiness of their food such as increasing protein content and reducing fat

I mean, I rarely ever eat there, maybe that's why I've noticed this as somebody who maybe eats there once a year, but I've seen the quality of their food increase quite a bit over the last decade

I try to make breakfast the best thing I eat all day because I have to pack lunch in my bag and literally come home and have like 10 minutes to eat a PB&J to even get 6 hours of sleep.
>two cups of black coffee (before, during)
>WIDE EGG (1 liquid/carton egg white and 1 whole egg)
>flip it and saute spinach and a handful of crushed mushrooms next to it in the pan with olive oil
>sprinkle with salt, italian seasoning, pepper, lemon juice, hot sauce
>old fashioned oats with chia, flax, and hemp seeds; walnuts, a banana, sugar-free syrup, cinnamon, and a splash of onions milk
Honestly the walnuts are the most expensive part but oatmeal without any crunch is disgusting (in addition, instant oatmeal is abhorrent, and if you'd like a tip you can absolutely cook old-fashioned oats in the microwave).
